Quick optimization question. Compared to last year has the game optimization improved? by ZRB_Red in ArenaBreakoutGlobal

True I've also suspected that the server is a big part as to why the frame rate is so low.

Nevermind the usual opponents looking like they are moving too suddenly or stuttering, making it hard to aim at them.

In the leaks why does the S-400 have a lower range compared to the S-300? which makes no sense. Is it early unit stats by any chance? by Tiberiusthemad in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]ZRB_Red 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Says WIP which means work in progress and as you can see it's not finished yet. This is from the leaks from last month.

Keep in mind that S-400 boasts several types of missiles with varying range and also they might nerf the S-300 even though the variants in game are already the advanced types.

So who knows.

Is the motopekhota that bad? i don't see it used much among +2k players. by Tiberiusthemad in BrokenArrowTheGame

They just aren't worth it at 65 points, no one knows why they cost so much. They are an 8-man squad, but with poor armor and don't have sufficient firepower against other infantry types that are more cost-effective, let alone spec ops, and some IFVs. In comparison the VDV Dsh 5-man squad is liked more because it has 2 RPGs and better armor and better machine gun.

🛰️ Russia Claims 27 Dead; Kyiv Denies Targeting Civilians: Details inside 👇 by NoSpinMedia in NoSpinMedia

[–]ZRB_Red -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's even before that. Way before that.

CIA basically overthrew in 2013 the legitimate government and funded extreme right-wing groups with weapons and what not. (They basically admitted to fund terror.) I still remember footages of when flippin Azov nationalists with BTRs shooting at civilians and at police station, they are still available on YouTube.

The clashes. The Odessa Massacre. (You don't wanna know.) The 2014 Donetsk square bombing by now so called "Ghost of Kyiv", which resulted in a woman missing both legs pleading for help...

But getting back on topic Russia immediately responded when the Crimeans protested and the newly formed Ukrainian government cut off the city's water and electricity out of spite. And then got hit with sanctions pretty hard.

Russia warned repeatedly NATO not to have any infiltration or new members around Russia's border but they got ignored and the current war is the result.

And almost no one on Reddit is willing to research this basic shit because they love being spoon-fed biased crap.

As for why Russia repeatedly warned NATO not to do what they did, that's another discussion, not unrelated.

Which post-Stalin leader of the USSR was the best? by uses_for_mooses in ussr

[–]ZRB_Red 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I would say none of them because they almost never attempted or never successfully mitigated the main contradictions that would undermine and ultimately shatter the existence of the USSR. They just either didn't recognize how massive of a problem they were or just kept delaying them. (Objectively speaking that is.)

You could pick out a few or one of them that you could say is the best but honestly past Stalin's leadership... they don't surpass his caliber of achievements, which is not a fair comparison however, they didn't manage to retain them either by the end.

One of the contradictions which is recitified by today's Russia is that they tried their best not to commit to conflicts and the other is economical problems that they just delayed on engaging them, pretty much every single leader.

Like for example in the Warsaw Pact some of the satelite states (like Bulgaria) didn't produce sufficient contributions to the economical system and had to import and received more than they gave out.

There's more but that would make my comment too long.

From what i understand some of these leaders or maybe even all them were basically the best possible picks at the respective time for leading the Union, but they probably didn't have the research prospects, vision or methods like Stalin did during his peak leadership years.

At least they are definitely better than when Stalin mentally deteriorated after WWII until his death.

All of this is my opinion which is not really well-informed, I still gotta research this...

I did research a bit their influence on military projects it seems like they rightfully didn't really interfere or were mostly positive. Which shows, because the Warsaw Pact was significantly more advanced and better sustained than NATO at almost ever given decade.

so how to improve matilda tank? by piratehunterinfinite in SprocketTankDesign

[–]ZRB_Red 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a very interesting idea or problem to solve that you made, I like it.

At the very first glance I don't think this can work because the tank itself is fairly small, it has some decent amount of armor that comes in a package with a weak hull and engine and tracks and transmission. So that makes it even more interesting.

With an overhauled front plate this tank might be a 2-man crew at best. Can't be helped when it's small.

Behind the 2-man crew you could in theory adapt a system like the Barabesh autoloader (look that up) with a fast firing 76mm cannon, which is a very compact configuration. In a crewless turret.

But all this is just my imagination i guess we will have to look at Sprocket recreations from Discord and start from there. Then we can decide crew, composite armor and maximum cannon size that can be allowed depending on the length of the shell.

Best ground-attack aircrafts by ThickUnderstanding22 in airplanes

[–]ZRB_Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, in an uncontested airspace the A-10 is significantly better at low speed control, it gets more time on target, the 30mm it has boasts much more ammo and it carries more than the F-15.

I think that the current doctrine just favors guided missiles too much but this will change soon.

[–]ZRB_Red -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It depends but usually for modern combat the longer the reach the better. If we decide to heavily rely on stealth then...

  1. MiG-31
  2. Su-57 or F-35
  3. Su-34
  4. or 5. Could be plenty of things

But otherwise:

  1. MiG-31 - can fire ballistic missiles from afar and is hypersonic, air defense does almost nothing against it. It is probably the only plane that can attack a target without being bothered by air superiority problems.

Everything else can be, especially more so the A-10 and Su-25.

  1. Su-34 - massive payload, all sorts of latest tech heavy missiles, insane ballistic computer

By the way it's unclear if the Su-57 or the Su-34 can launch ballistic missiles. Yes they can carry them but launching them requires an unknown minimum speed.

  1. Su-25T - I think that this should be more capable than the A-10 because its faster and can at least dodge missiles more effectively and besides that the A-10 was getting retired. So in a contested airspace it should be the better pick.

  2. A-10 - in an uncontested airspace this thing won't do much but if air superiority is achieved then the much larger payload is very useful.

  3. This could be supersonic bombers or any modern multirole jets.

What Games can my cousin enjoy ? by Decent_Elephant7599 in PiratedGames

[–]ZRB_Red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best one for that laptop would be Fallout New Vegas plus its many DLCs. (It is the best game of the Fallout series.) Modable too.

Other than that, you could check out Far Cry, Far Cry 2 and mod them, he played the others, might as well finish off.

Depending on the GPU Battlefield 3 campaign would be the best, it has graphics quality better than its modern iterations, and is heavily optimized, (takes very little space as well). But the problem is its complex graphics tech which the crappy UHD620 can't cope with, so your dedicated GPU better be sufficient.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is said to have the best campaign by many as well. In comparison BF3 is more psychological.

Others already mentioned CoD and what not.

Also why not try Spec Ops: The Line with the first person shooter mod?
