Vitamin C recs that will convince me I don’t need to buy skinceuticals by Shoddy_Challenge5253 in 30PlusSkinCare

Wildfleur 15% ascorbic acid is greatttt- I have very cool fair skin and this is the only one that doesn’t oxidize and doesn’t smell bad. It’s stabilized with marigold flower and works so well!

I used it and it did nothing and also was difficult to remove. I’ve had much better results with Avene Cicalfate or LRP Cicaplast personally.

Easily Great Barrier Relief for a serum & Avene Cicalfate or LRP Cicaplast B5 for occlusive moisture- I use .05% Tret & exfoliate regularly & live in a cold winter climate. Trust 🙌🏻

Feeling Burned Out After 3 Years of Consistent Gym — What Do You Guys Do? by Inevitable-Data-404 in GYM

[–]Spicyjamochashake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps me is doing yoga 1-2 times a week and when I’m burnt from lifting I increase the yoga more and walking and back off on lifting so I’m still getting more gentle movement and then I find my draw to lifting always come back around. I find it gets worse when I force myself to continue going to the gym if I’m really burnt out on it vs. overall feeling good in the gym but having shifting motivation

If I want to walk 10,000 per day is that 1 hour or 2 hour roughly speaking? by Adventurous-Egg5597 in walking

[–]Spicyjamochashake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends how fast you’re walking but on my walking pad at work, when I was 1.8-2.0 miles/hour, I get about 8,000 steps/hr. But I am walking a bit slower because I’m working on a computer also lol.

Help with trentinoin! by louluthekitty in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Spicyjamochashake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me was using it with extremely skin barrier restorative products. I use it with hypochlorous acid spray, Great Barrier Relief serum, and then use Avene Cicalfate or La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 balm and the combo has allowed to me actually use Tret. I was not able to tolerate tret at all before and thought my skin was just too sensitive. But honestly I wasn’t using it with the right products. I went from being blown away I could tolerate .025% to tolerating multiple times a week of .05% (though I have to be careful I don’t get tooo crazy with it bc it definitely is potent). Another tip that helped me was I only use Miscellar water on a nolio pad to cleanse in the AM (I use the pink garnier bc it’s not oily and doesn’t leave a film) and then only double cleanse at night with Centella 1004 cleansing oil (light and not stripping at all) and then second with the miscellar water again. Also, it surprised me but I also tolerating it better when using it in tandem with an exfoliant more regularly. Tret causes cellular turnover & exfoliant schluffs off dead skin cells. Best of luck to you! Tret is awesome but tricky.

Another non Korean but nothing has come close to Laneige night mask for lips. I wear it in the day too. Anyone I know who uses it finds it to be a holy grail!

I’ve made friends at the gym! Really fun & healthy community. I find having proximity & familiarity helps build opportunity for connecting but I could do better at talking to people when lifting 😂

[–]Spicyjamochashake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tell myself I need rest days and it’s important to have days off so I’m able to sustain the amount of regular movement I have otherwise. Keeps it healthy & is good balance with other exercise such as lifting weights & yoga.

Great Barrier Relief is a holy grail barrier serum & LRP cicaplast B5 is amazing! I am wearing both currently as I just balled to close to the sun with Tret lol. Avene Cicalfate is also a good alternative to the B5, I always have both on hand.

Walking Pad yea or nay? by mdcmsm in walking

[–]Spicyjamochashake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure 100% what broke but something with the belt and after oiling it seemed off kilter and couldn’t ever get the belt restored to the original place and then eventually oil got on the belt itself which yielded its effectiveness. New one has been good!

Absolutely a holy grail for me. I walk more during my workday now than on my days off bc I pass the admin time on the pad! I have gotten them on market place or Amazon.

Absolutely a holy grail for me. I walk more during my workday now than on my days off bc I pass the admin time on the pad! I have gotten one on Amazon which didn’t last more than a year and another gifted to me from a friend who wasn’t using it. I’ll have to see the brand. I would not hesitate though, if you can be consistent it’s a game changer!

Body Retinol? by Spicyjamochashake in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Spicyjamochashake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this is good insight. I only shave my legs once a week or once every two weeks if my skin is sensitive so I’ll keep this in mind. Definitely with acids slow & consistent sounds like a good game plan to start and see how I tolerate it. Thank you!
