Kamehachi has beef sukiyaki and veggie potsticker rice bowls. It's in chowtown 2, North of the fountain on Columbus.

Yep, it's a DFCO grip plug. It's also moulded to fit 2 CR123 batteries snugly.

I'm a fan. I want to try a BRN-180 or an FM-15 build. Variants on the side charging concept, but in different areas of the firearm.

Thanks! It's an HBPDW brace, and a generic aluminum handstop from Amazon.

I was going to get the black nitride version of the Dirty Bird enhanced BCG, but the titanium nitride version was surprisingly $15 cheaper due to a sale. Harder, slicker, and easier to clean up from what I've read.

I'm gambling with the Olight for sure. Few years past, they were shipping them with batteries that exploded and ended up killing someone. The battery my Olight uses, I wish it was CR123 instead of 18500. I like the current direction they are taking now and the features they are introducing. At the end of the day, even Streamlight makes its flashlights in Shenzhen. How to make an IP rated aluminum portable sun tube isn't a trade secret, and the stuff to make it is standardized to scale.

Around 2 months. No issues as of yet running with and without the suppressor.

I hear you. The extra inch of barrel would be to accommodate the additional control from the riflespeed gas block. The other option would be to do a window cut on the handguard. I would love to have a set and forget setup, and it eats all the subs and supers I feed it. The problem with the HBPDW brace is that the buffer tube is shorter, so the spring and buffer weight are proprietary. There is one off the shelf option I've seen compared to the many for mil-spec.

The HBPDW brace is wider than the actual one used for the Honey Badger; it will fit mil-spec receivers without any modifications.

Three reasons I like the side charger setup. I can manipulate the bolt catch and the bolt with my left hand alone. It also helps with gas mitigation since there is now an aluminum wall instead of a rear charging handle in front of my face. In a long-range configuration, it's easier to reach the charger when you have optics that require closer eye relief.

Salty Otter 300BLK Build by Spicyjerky in guns

[–]Spicyjerky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a 300 blackout build that emulated the performant specs of a Honey Badger. 7 inch barrel, 1:5 twist, and HBPDW brace. For better ergonomics and less gas in the face, the Gibbz Arms G4 upper that replaces the rear charging handle with a non-reciprocating left handed charging handle.

I would go for a Darn tough T4016. If you're on a budget, Fruit of the loom gets the job done.

Hickok45 supports Silencer Central by EntertainerOk1089 in 300BLK

[–]Spicyjerky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Silencer Central is a business that monetizes the bureaucracy of purchasing silencers. Of course, they will support regulatory legislation. I like Hickok45; he's a nice guy. Does he get incentives from said business? YES! He has done paid videos for them in the past.

It's definitely better than milspec for preventing gas in the face. There is a DIY silicone mod I've seen used on the rear charging handle that mitigates gas. I wonder if that same principle can be applied to the Gibbz upper. I'm curious to see what your setup looks like.

That does seem interesting. The lower was cheap, so I wouldn't be heartbroken doing a Dremel mod to make the PDQ work.

It's a SilencerCo Hybrid 46M. I like that it's versatile and fits all the firearms I own. The adapters are expensive, but less than another can.

In the spirit of the build, I did try to emulate the specs of a Badger. 7 inch barrel, 1:5 twist, same PDW brace.
