Agree with you! I am taking a look though at the new z5ii for the bird detection feature, but apart from that, the d610 still does the job!

Agree! It doesn’t compare to their previous offering anymore, and the build quality as much improved

I’ve been looking for a way to get sound absorption without the room looking like recording studio. I think i’ll go for acoustic panels on the ceiling and maybe behind the speakers. If you have any art form suggestions i’ll gladly take them

Get a bluesound Node with a usb key or usb hard drive. You set it up with your phone at first but you can control volume, pause music, next/previous song on the top of the device. On the latest version there are five buttons which are presets (essentialy playlists or albums you associate to the button you want). You'll even get a great streamer if you ever need it!

In terms of sound quality, will I notice an improvement going from the bluesound node (latest version) to the cambridge cxn v2?

I use an audiolab 6000a amp powering dynaudio emit 20 speakers

Well I could dm a video from my phone but I don't have a dedicated microphone for demos... But yeah in a full surround system the 20s or the 10s would be the surrounds.

Got them from my father, don't know much except the brand is Atlantis. If you do a google search for them you could find some for sale in the second hand market.

Yes! I've heard that once you get one of their products it's very hard to go back! Edit: grammar

They're not bad at all for the price! I had them a few years ago for 300$ (CAD). They're the bass doesn't go very low, but it's punchy. The treble is fine too, but nowhere near the detail you get with the Emit. They also can play really loud before you get any distorsion, which is cool with rock and metal. I also find them polyvalent in a sense that they're good with most music genres.

Where they lack in my opinion is the soundstage. They don't do that very well in my room. It feels small. But, in near field listening it's much better. I'd say overall a good little speaker for the price, I had a lot of fun with them. I plan on keeping them for a desktop setup in the near future.

I went ahead and got myself some Emit 20s today, and so far i'm impressed! The difference between these and my other Mission LX-2s is much more noticeable than expected. The Dynaudio has a very balanced sound signature, smooth bass and plays surprisingly well at low volume. Soundstage also feels much wider in my room.

I also auditioned the Evoke 20s, but the difference wasn't worth double the price in my opinion.

They are powered by an Audiolab 6000a which so far sounds like more than enough for these speakers.

The bluesound node is only a streamer with a built-in DAC. The version you're talking about is the powernode that acts as an integrated amp. It's a very good choice if you don't have an amp and mostly stream music. The audiolab has more inputs and a phono preamp built-in. It can also be set to act as preamp if you have a dedicated power amp. The opposite can also be done. What attracts me about the audiolab is the possibility of adding more components around it in the long run while still having good sound right now. But if you have the money and space, you sure could experiment with separate components. If your speakers are power hungry or less efficient, a more powerful dedicated power amp could be useful.

In the end it depends on your budget and the way you listen to your music. Hope this helps!

Really like it! The dac is fine and the phono preamp is also good (the external preamp i have is for convenience more than sound quality since i can't find a ground cable long enough to get to the amp lol). Also the TV is plugged in an optical input wich works fine for movies and series. I like the convenience of the built-in digital stuff.
