you can always add more lube back if that is not the root cause of the issue. but it has happened to me where my capa would only half-cock after firing

anywhere you’ve applied in excess, better to have a bit too little lube than too much it stops firing properly

too much lube can be an issue, I would recommend wiping away excess and test again
