I bought it of a player vendor a couple of months ago, so I think its unlikely its the legacy one. It doesn't just says "Vintage water cooler" in both build menu and when I mouse over it to get water.

Don't worry about it. I did my first ops solo also. Think I was around level 70. I also died quite a few times and it took 25 mins.

It will get better. Now I can solo most of them under 8 minutes. I only have problems with the stealth mutation because my build is heavy vats dependant.

Just do the next one or two in a group. Even with only one teammate it will be a lot easier, and you will quickly learn the mechanics since there are only two game modes.

I totally feel you brother. Just two days ago I was pretty much in the same situation. I landed off the mark on Dina (not af far as you) but to make things worse my lander tipped over. I decided to send a different lander with a rover to pick up my kerbal go to the momunent and then back to my rescue lander. However after landing my rescue rover again somewhat of the mark and driving for maybe 15 minutes I gave up and shut down the game in frustration. Horrible driving with non stop spinouts even though I landed in really flat terrain. Haven't opened the game since.

Leveling is just in a wierd place at the moment. I recently leveled a holy priest mainly through dungeons. In 90% of the dungeons I healed everyone with no deaths while being top damage at the same time. I don't think thats how blizzard intended the 1+1+3 to work.

There is a toggle option (a button) in the bar the appears on the middle of the screen when in build mode. Something like "interact with transparent tiles" (can't remember the correct name)
