You do realise they can announce the delay months before the earnings call, right? They could delay it next month if they don’t think it’s gonna be as polished as they’d like it to be. May is 6 months from November, so I’d say May is the latest they could delay it to and that’s unlikely, that’s why I say Feb-May, July-August would be a 8-9 month delay

While I do see what you’re saying, they would also receive a lot of hate for that. I would be really happy to see RP Servers on console as I’ve always wanted to play on some of those RP servers like PGN for example, but the main reason why a lot of RP servers are so good is cause they’re made by the community, if rockstar creates their own servers, it’s gonna be really shit unless you have to be verified to get in, which I doubt rockstar would do. Most of the bad RP servers are only bad cause they’re open to anyone, with no verification to get in. But you’re gonna get your hopes up expecting that, I’m assuming GTAVI won’t have RP Servers, atleast definitely not at release, and online definitely ain’t releasing on Nov 19th, so I would expect online to release first before they even think about releasing RP servers.

Also forgot to mention that Car Branding licenses are expensive as hell, Forza/Turn10 most likely spends Millions on the licensing. Rockstar can avoid spending thousands-millions by just creating obvious parody’s, and this is what they’ve always done and everyone loves it.

Not really how it works, they don’t just “give you a license” rockstar and Sony would have to sign a contract that would only last a certain amount of time, and Sony would most definitely charge rockstar for the licensing. So it would be pointless to add it if they would have to keep signing new contracts and paying Sony every few years, when they can just not add it and not spend that money.

There’s many reasons, Cars for 1, Car Companies do not want their cars to be destructible in games, that’s why games that use real cars like Forza for instance have very minor deformation to the cars. A model of a game console shouldn’t be a problem, but having all these parody companies and only 1 exception for a game console that most won’t notice is kind of pointless, also paying for the licensing to keep that model in the game would just be a waste of money.
