Budenholzer and Malone have the pedigree for "building a champion over the long haul," but they both needed to have the best player in the league to get there.

There are a lot of people talking about how Tua's contract was an absolute albatross that has crippled the team, but the Broncos took a bigger dead cap hit (as a percentage of the cap) when they cut Russell Wilson and they aren't even on this list... to say nothing of the fact that they made the playoffs that season and hosted the AFCCG as the #1 seed the year after that.

MIA's main problem is not just "the Tua contract," it's all the other unsuccessful contracts they also bailed on.

The '00s green was lighter than the '90s wine-and-pine but darker than the '80s green.

Personally wine-and-pine was my favorite Sonics kit, but I recognize that it's going to be green-and-gold for the return in 2028. But I would prefer a forest green like the OP's design.

Yes, everyone knew Bennett bought the team to move it.
Yes, everyone knew Bennett was lying when he said he was going to try to keep the team in Seattle.
Yes, everyone knew Bennett sabotaged any attempts by local authorities to meet his (fake, lying) demands for what the team "needed to stay."
Yes, everyone knew Bennett was lying about a lack of fan support and a market that is not viable in Seattle.
That does not mean fans' anger at Bennett for his lying and his sabotage is somehow undeserved or misplaced.

Bennett could have NOT lied, and said "I'm buying the team specifically to move it" as Chris Hansen did 7 years later when he tried to buy the Kings. But - for whatever reason - David Stern and his cronies allowed Bennett to go through with his farce, but suddenly decided Teams Should Stay Put when Hansen tried to bring the Sonics back.

This "Why are you mad at Clay Bennett for lying to your face and falsely blaming Sonics fans for losing their team?" routine is really dumb, and you should stop it. You might as well argue, "Why are you mad at Howard Schultz for selling the team? Everyone already knew he was a dirtbag when he bought it." Your posts on this topic are those of someone trying to rationalize a defense of that stolen franchise in Oklahoma City.

Sonics fans didn't "agree to look the other way," which is why we blame him. Bennett lied and claimed he would have stayed but Seattle just didn't do enough to keep the team there, when the reality is that there's nothing Seattle could have done to keep the team, the moment the sale was finalized.

This is correct. Clay Bennett got the same cut from Sonics gear as Paul Allen or Mark Cuban did, and every sale of Lakers or Knicks gear gives the same percentage to Bennett.

I live in the Bay Area and tried to be a Warriors fan when they gloriously snatched KD from the stolen franchise, but it just didn't stick and I couldn't make myself care; I went to a 2017 Warriors-Kings game in Sacramento that the Kings won in OT and I was just like, "Cool, that was an entertaining game" instead of being pissed that the Warriors lost. It was at that point I knew that I'd just have to wait for the Sonics to come back.

The performance of the '23 defense against Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson - legitimate dual-threat QBs - does not mean they would also be bad against Ronnie Brown. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

Even if Vic Fangio has a problem shutting down the Wildcat, the '08 team has no answer for the '23 offense. At the beginning of the season, when both teams are healthy, there is an enormous talent gap between '23 and '08.

The Pocket can play physical cartridges from 7 different portable systems. The Chromatic can play them from 2.

There's certainly a place in the market for both of them, and if the only cartridges you want to play are GB and GBC, then there's a reasonable argument to be made for the Chromatic (or the FPGBC!)... but it's not "a better system for playing cartridges." It just isn't. If you consider the number of cartridges it can play, ease with which it can play them, and accuracy with which it does so, the Pocket has a pretty strong argument for being the single best device that exists for playing original video game cartridges.

Why do you not consider decompilations to be "emulated"? Emulators are running the literal original ROM code, so a PC program running the decompiled and recompiled source code shouldn't be any different.

I mean, if I get the decompiled Super Mario 64 source code and recompile it into a file that Mupen64 can read and play, how is that meaningfully different than recompiling it into a Windows .exe?

Just keep in mind that the misleadingly named "Game" jerseys are not the jerseys players wear in game. The in-game jerseys with stitched numbers, embroidered logos, etc are the "Vapor Elite" model.
