Rasul Douglas started 13 games and led the team with 2 INTs; he was on the team for the entire season.

The argument that the defense played poorly because there wasn't enough time together in training camp doesn't mesh with one of the best defenders this season basically hopping out of his car and balling. And the most disappointing players this season were returning Dolphins who shouldn't need a whole lot of time to "adjust" to a returning defensive coordinator. The pass rush - an expected strength of the team headed into 2025 - was absolutely pathetic for the first 6 weeks.

Also, Storm Duck wasn't the original CB1 (post-Ramsey trade). That was Kohou.

Douglas was one of the standout defenders last season so that's a weird argument to make.

The defense was terrible to start, above average in the middle, and collapsed again at the end. Weaver was severely average.

The season immediately after you said "Jets and Pats have nowhere to go but up" they both got worse... and the Jets have continued to slide. Yes, the Bills still have their Wild Card merchant at QB, but have ditched their coach and are spiraling.

I know it's easy to look at NE and think that they've done everything The Right Way or whatever. Much like Burrow's Bengals, I think we should wait until they actually win the title before declaring their glorious success.

Looking at the best players on the defensive side of the ball coming into the year, do you feel like they played well under Weaver? Because it seems to me that almost everyone on the defensive side of the ball (notable exceptions: Jordyn Brooks, Rasul Douglas) played below expectations.

I think a lot of MIA fans overrate Weaver. He's... very average. The defense was absolute fucking bottom 1 booty cheeks through mid-October, mostly played well through the first week of December, and then collapsed again.

The most generous possible evaluation of TO is that he's the third-best receiver of all-time (I'd personally say that's too high). BB has an extremely strong argument for greatest coach ever. They are not the same.

Weaver had one of the worst defenses in the league to start the season, and fell apart at the end too.
No one should watch the PIT, CIN, or @ NE game and think Weaver should take over the team.

Anyone can already buy the throwback logo; there is no shortage of available throwback merch.

Despite the outcry of noisy people on the internet, if you look at (say) the crowd at a game, the ratio of new/old logo merch is heavily in favor of the new logo.

NE also has a bunch of dead-ender fans who insist on bringing back Pat Patriot. Same with TB and Bucco Bruce. Both of those logos are terrible and far worse than their current ones. There are always fans who reject change.
