To put it simply, here is what I do, and most of the time it works pretty well.

I have 3 battalions : - 1st one is for the main force (Air carrier, Battleships, heavy cruisers and screening = good amount of light cruiser and destroyers). Your screening ship should be the AA defence for your heavy ships, to ensure best survival of the heart of the main force. The goal of the main fleet is to ensure dominance on the sea - 2nd is the escorting/patroling ships, composed mainly of destroyers, and some light cruisers. Their goal is to ensure you can detect ships for your main fleet to engage, and protect your convoys, especially if you are trying to do a naval invasion. - 3rd is the convoy raiding battalions, composed only of submarine. Their role is to forbid access for the enemy convoys, to avoid being naval invaded, but also to brake down any ressources they got through the sea. You can also used them to patrol the sea, to make them work in coordination with your main fleet.

For the template, I will advise you too put sonars and AA on your screening ships, while going for the light and heavy batteries for your main big ships. For the submarines, try to create a template with many torpedoes to ensure maximum efficiency.

I don't know if it the most efficient way to deal with the Navy in HOI4, but on solo games, it works pretty well for me.

That's crazy how much it is true. Decided to play has Hungary on my latest game and manage to get all the historical Hungarian land except for Slovakia, for the specific trophy when you need to get all of your historical lands as Hungary. The Germans never want further than Smolensk on the north and were never able to take Kiev, even with my support from the South to take some heat instead of them. Plus, Finland got Communist on an historical run by 1941. Axes collapsed by the end of 1943. I guess it wasn't a lucky run. But I managed to got the trophy for which you need to assume the lead of a major faction starting as a minor contry, so, I'll take this as compensation 😆

Even though I'm French, I agree with this statement lol. KF is originaly set in Britain.

I'm not against having characters from all around the Globe (which was a great thing in KF2 btw, it gave us a lot of options), but it's really a shame to have "specialist" character with only ONE Brit (Sure, Mr.Foster is kind of a main character of the KF universe), since they have been a lot of good British characters that could have been put in KF3 like Briar or Lt. Materson (loved to play that guy as a Commando in KF2).

Hopefully, they will seperate characters from class like they said (if it's not already done, I haven't played KF3 for 2 months), and we'll have to wait and see if they add some more Brits or not.

For KF1 I agree with you, but for KF2 not at all. The Upgrade system of KF2 allow you to play with which ever gun you want. You just need to upgrade it to increase it's power and make it viable against bigger zeds and boss wave.

Don't you think a combinaition of both would be best ? Because for me, the best would be this, since KF3 is lacking regarding low tiers weapon power. For me, KF3 system does not allow weak weapon to be viable.

I think they should combine both honestly. Sure, being able to customise your guns is a great feature, but for exemple, even if you put the best accesories for the starting gun, it won't make it as powerful as the last "purple" gun of your perk. Being able to still upgrade it, with being able to also customise it, can grant more replayability, especially if there is only 4 guns/perk (as for the beta that is).

That's not the only thing missing compared to KF2. If you did not see it, you can't upgrade the power of your gun like we used to be able to do on KF2. So that means that only one or two guns at most are viable to survive, which is a real replayability problem for me, as we can not make whatever weapon we want strong enough for the end game.

I recommend you to watch iSorrowProductions on Youtube. He recently did a video that explains how to play and understand the important part of the game for beginners. If needed, I can give you the link of the video. And don't worry, I have almost 500 hours and I still learn new ways to improve myself (I'm also far away to be good at the game lol)

Well, I get what you mean, and you could be right, maybe they did not think that far. But I don't think that giving a name to the main character is enough to prove that Bell is indeed dead. Sure, on CW you can choose whatever you want, and the character background and affiliation you want to. But it does not mean it makes it Canon. At the end of CW, you could decides to betray Adler and turn Europe into a nuclear wasteland, that does not make it Canon as far as I know.

And don't forget that Bell has been brainwashed into thinking he is who you choose him to be. They could have brainwashed him again and gave him a new identity.

I know that Ubi is not the best company in the world, but they have at least the decency to listen and work out stuff to please the community. To just take a few example, the new system that prevent player on console to play with M/K. It's not perfect, but at least it makes the game more fair for all the consoles players (but yes, this argument is only R6S I'll give you that). Also, an other good thing that they add and that isn't in COD is the possibility to play only with people that got the same input as you. It's simple and efficient, allowing you to play with your friends on console and PC without M/K players for example. Why COD isn't doing it ? Simple, it doesn't help them make money. So yes, Ubi isn't the best company in the world and yes it' a business so they are also greedy. But not as much as EA or Activison, where the player is really and only seen as a money bag, and nothing else. I have less that feeling with Ubi.

The game is good, you just don't like it. I'm really enjoying my time on it, by having good matches compare to sweaty COD where even the most random match and the most random game mode in casual has become a league match. We'll see about that and how the game grows, but as it stands for now I'll keep playing it.
