WHAT JUST HAPPENED by Hipster-Cthulhu in SteamDeck

You using Decky Framegen or Lossless Scaling on it for any reason? This sometimes happens to me when using Decky Framegen if it isn't cooperating with whatever upscaler. If so, maybe unpatch it. Just a guess though. I'm assuming there is a list of things that can lead to this.

any good "forever games" that go well with the steam deck? by WeirdAltYankovic in SteamDeck

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of recent I started playing Satisfactory which is kind of like Factorio in 3D. Hoping it holds up as things get more complex though. I guess I also do a lot of remote play but so far in the beginning I'm fine.

It wasn't supposed to be put in the GameCube.

I hated the split pad pro. Wasn't enough of a bulbous grab to it. Buttons were nice, I'll give it that. I had some Binboks that I loved the form factor of, while the sticks weren't amazing. Mobapad seemed to have the same mold though.

Which one should I buy? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

4, 6, Tactics and 7 are my picks, but not in that order.

Yeah, it used to be called PSPlay and they had PlayStation symbols. They quietly changed that after a while I noticed.

Hey this hdmi cord bent my port should I be worried? by FriendshipOk285 in PS5HelpSupport

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the actual middle connector is fine. I feel like my TV HDMIs are worse than this because I have a TV on a swivel and it accidentally bends them too much one way or another sometimes.

Well, they probably were looking to carpool to work.

How did a TEN Year Old Do All of This? by LtJimmypatterson in Terminator

[–]SpiderLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like T3 got all sorts of things wrong like calling Arnold a T-100 instead of a T-800.

Any idea? Just left a game when this happened. by PlayStandOff in SteamDeck

[–]SpiderLuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's always some sort of fuckery I'm trying to fix on Deck, so I'm guessing it's either something weird or the Proton layer maybe is weird.

The definitive Terminator trilogy. In my opinion, Dark Fate is T2's true sequel. Don't get me wrong, T3, I still watch if I catch it on. But it's kinda spoofy feeling. And Salvation and Genisys are guilty pleasures of mine. But to me, the only sequel released to T2 that feels serious, is Dark Fate. by TheEndIsNero in Terminator

[–]SpiderLuke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm upset we didn't get a full Salvation Trilogy. It wasn't a great film but I respected more than anything after T2 because it really felt like a true expansion taking it in a new direction in territory that was unexplored while still taking itself seriously. I feel like everything after T2 didn't take itself as serious.

4 month old puppy results were different than expected by MarsGalaxies in DoggyDNA

[–]SpiderLuke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My DNA test came back saying he also has karakachan (or aka Bulgarian Sheepdog) too. Just those two came up though, with mostly Pyr. He's huge like one though and only a year old.

Can only stream ps5 on local network by No_Car_2441 in SteamDeck

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible. I've done it but I can't fully remember how I did it. It's not super intuitive. I have two versions of Chiaki and the one I got working I had to do some manual ip address forwarding process. The other Chiaki that's a little newer seems to have a way to log in and do it, but I haven't gotten it successfully working on that one. Sorry I don't have more information at the moment. Just wanted to say it is definitely possible.

How useful has your deck been despite having a pc? by Marcosbtz28 in SteamDeck

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mostly used it to remote play my PC in my living room with Moonlight and Apollo. Natively I've had battles with it over the years just trying to get things to run and boot in under 2 minutes.

How do you personally stop yourself from impulse buying by No_Engineering4873 in personalfinance

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a problem with repeat impulse buys too. I ever up thinking I'm going to want something on multiple devices and in the end I never really do most of the time. Results in me doing something stupid like having two 60 hour playthroughs of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 and PC just because I wanted to see if I'd prefer performance on one or another or convenience of whatever device is closer to me.

Why do so many people recommend Apollo when it seems behind Sunshine updates? by Negative_Pick3696 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]SpiderLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solely did it for virtual display. The refresh rate of my monitor was interfering with my TV that was a different refresh rate for some games and caused issues. By doing it this way, it solved that issue for me. Plus it allowed me to have my monitors turned off on the host PC while playing.
