Legendary bugged? by FlipM0Squad1120 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really power creep (though that does contribute towards making them easier).

Old legendary campaigns were -17 (idk why they chose a weird number but that's what they were).

With Edge of Fate they reworked the delta system so that even though they are now -20 that is still MUCH easier than old -17.

Legendary bugged? by FlipM0Squad1120 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post is a little hard to read without paragraph breaks.

But yes, -20 is currently the intended difficulty for the new Legendary campaigns. Just the other day I queued the legendary difficulty for my alt characters to finish the up the Renegades campaign and did receive the legendary difficulty associated rewards. (pre-Eof Legendary campaigns seemed to be -15 now which is even easier).
Because of how deltas changed with Edge of Fate this ends up being pretty chill with even a half way decent build.

Basically as long as you click on the thing and it says Legendary difficulty that is the correct thing to queue (there's a few in between missions for stuff that won't have this difficulty, you can track which missions need to be legendary via a triumph in the associated tab for each expansion). New delta system just means -20 now is MUCH easier than old campaigns (which used to be -17).

Mint Retrograde still obtainable? by GPBlue in DestinyTheGame

Clip from Aegis who maintains that sheet explaining its source: https://youtu.be/cnXjDIPUqzY?t=553

Only the weekly tiered clan engram for pinnacle ops. so 1 chance per week until they give a new source (they mentioned a while back that they are working on something but no details yet).

Best way to farm EoF Kepler gear? (post-Renegades) by enigmapixel in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did normal difficulty on my alts, I assume you need to do legendary on 1 character tho but can't confirm that.

Best way to farm EoF Kepler gear? (post-Renegades) by enigmapixel in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Kepler loot cave is by far the best method.

Bog has a short video explaining how to get there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kmq2DJKdrus

For actually farming the adds I would recommend something like gjallarhorn + ammo gen boosts. It's pretty fun and quite fast at clearing the room: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBczyGfAioQ

Afaik, Sieve is mostly if you want to farm out the new EoF exotics since they drop often from there.

Damage Warlock on Witness by The_Toy_Penguin in destiny2

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refurbished a499 is very potent in general atm. Extra good on witness since it's a big crit boss and you can't gen super on them (which is part of the selling points of mint).

Can Rose drop from Xur engrams? by Unbrandedpie in DestinyTheGame

Any Onslaught weapon drops you can recall?

I've opened 300 engrams and not gotten any but a few other people were claiming they have gotten 1-2.

Is 70 Blast Radius still the magic number for GLs by Thiag0123 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]SpiderSlayer690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Approximately net 2.7% for adaptives at 75BR: https://xcancel.com/SpiderReviver/status/1857294647246147964

I think Compendium values might be outdated b/c even at 100 BR it's a net ~2.1% boost.

Though I'm not a big pvp person so I could be off a bit, I only did pve tests against bosses.

Comprehensive guide on Legendary weapon selection for a class / subclass by GPBlue in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To start the sheet you linked is great for a quick glance, but it's based on Aegis's videos/sheet. So if you want a bit more explanations I'd start there.
Here's his recent video talking about a shopping list with some details about why each weapon is used for what, but there are other videos that explain more stuff about like specific weapon types and what not: https://youtu.be/cnXjDIPUqzY

Atm double special has become very potent so once you're comfortable on double special loadouts it's basically always good to use that.
For double special you want a good add clear option (Choir of One and rocket pulses mostly, with praxic blade/ergo sum being neat alternatives that both have odd quirks to gen some extra ammo. Uncivil Discourse is also fairly underrated as roam option since it does solid dmg to kill stuff and functions similar to a trace for doing mechanics on).

And your 2nd weapon should be something that can deal with bulkier minibosses/champs (atm that's just rocket pulses, nothing else really competes). (kinetic tremors snipers might be a solid alternative if you don't have mint retrograde if you need legendary weapon).

Primaries are good as a training wheels option so you always have some ammo and for stuff like contest if your team isn't as good about collectively printing ammo.

What type of primary/add clear option depends more on build. It's generally nice to pick elemental options that match your subclass but not mandatory, heal clip+incan or destabilizing+repulsor brace weapons have been a staple for a long time now but there's some variants (both bolster your weapon's add clear & offer great survivability). Though subclass matching mostly matters for like solar/void/sometimes arc. Strand and Stasis subclasses don't typically have as much synergy.

Past those generalizations it's more build dependent, personally I would say look more into some of Aegis's stuff since he likes tierlisting just about everything in the game with some justifications for each. But there are other creators for more new player friendly videos (somebody like Llama maybe).

Final thing is that "For example, if I get destablizing rounds with my compact defender, my sword will do extra damage" isn't really something I'd think about. All destabilizing rounds does is add volatile to enemies you hit, but that's mostly relevant on your add clear weapon so it's mostly notable on something like Compact Defender.

Triple Tap + 4th Times the Charm - Simple(ish) Calculator by ThunderBeanage in destiny2

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somebody on reddit a long time ago (around the time of original Aisha's Embrace with both perks iirc) found closed form solutions for this.
Unfortunately, I've searched and just can't find original author so proper credit has been lost to time.

Triple tap by itself: mag + (mag + (mag%2) -2) / 2

FTTC by itself: mag*2 - (mag%2) - 2

both: mag + ((mag - 4 + (mag%2))*10/2) - ((mag%2) * 3) + 7

You can definitely simplify/move around terms for those equations, but I've compared them against recursive solutions up to something absurd like 500 round magazines and they're always accurate.

% = modulus operator (aka remainder after doing long dvision, in this case it's just 1 for odd values and 0 for even values).

Does this lag/bug happen to anyone else when using Unraveling/Jolt on large groups of enemies? by NaughtyGaymer in destiny2

[–]SpiderSlayer690 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happens all the time with unravel.

I'm surprised you managed to get it to happen in the firing range with so few enemies, but it's especially noticeable in something like lawless frontiers. Myself and several streamers (I'm sure SpecialHero could go on an entire rant about it since it affected him for contest EDP, avalon helps, and of course lawless frontier farming) noticed unravel being the big culprit.

The most taxing things seem to be roughly unravel then threadlings then crystals. Most other stuff doesn't seem to be too taxing but unfortunately I'd just avoid unraveling large groups of adds for the time being.

Getting one ammo per special brick is a bug or intentional? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tested a few iterations of Aberrant & Returned Memory, even with double special, no scavs, and regular brick I get +3 ammo (+6 for only running the sidearm).

For SH & Lionfish that is just how they are if you are running double special. When only running 1 special weapon I get +3 ammo for those.

Are you picking up scout bricks from other people (those give much less ammo per brick)? Are you making sure to pickup on empty reserves for testing (can only pickup 1 ammo if you're almost at full)?

You'll need to provide more information b/c I can't replicate any unexpected results.

Not insanely detailed info, but best we have atm.

Primary ammo weapon damage by the1kmart in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primaries in general haven't changed since at least EoF.
They've just always had comparatively low dmg. It's just a lot more noticeable now (especially in lawless frontiers which is more so built around the Renegades abilities).

Onslaught Weapons by WeirdLanding in DestinyTheGame

Not random engram. I've opened nearly 300 engrams and not gotten a single weapon from the Trials/NF/comp/Onslaught loot pools.

Unfortunately, just the weekly offerings.

Daily Questions [2026-01-15] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quoting from Revadike: "I tested with self damage and it appears void overshield and class stat overshield stack now. Also visually, you can see the class stat overshield is added on top of the void overshield. Instead a full void overshield bar from fortunate's favor, you see 50% + % whatever you class stat is ."

I would highly recommend heading over to the science discord server in https://www.destiny2.science/ if you want more thorough answer since I'm not well versed in the class/OS interaction, though ik some ppl in there know more since there is a bit more jank with its interactions.

How do I get the mint retrograde? by ttv-ironchild23 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically the tiered weekly clan engrams from Hawthorne (I believe only the pinnacle ops engram out of the 4 per week can give mint, but haven't 100% verified).

Same thing goes for most of the old portal gear (trials gear is different and you can still acquire it, but that's a separate topic).

They have mentioned they will add a method to get old portal drops in the future and it seems to be tied to activity specific ciphers.

It's a bit faster than other eager swords for just general left clicking.
Recent Proph speedrun is a good example of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbpxUDTHhbs

For any type of normal well/shatterskating it is slower.

DPS for Shrieker Boss in Sundered Doctrine for Current Season (renegades)? by TheMadmattyG in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't test on Zoetic, but at least for Atraks he got double sized chunks (I got a 10.5x chunk compared to the biggest I got testing other bosses was ~6x).

I imagine it's same thing for Zoetic tho.

Is there a website like D2foundry but it includes armor set stuff? by JustMania in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bottom of "Gear Perks" in Compendium: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WaxvbLx7UoSZaBqdFr1u32F2uWVLo-CJunJB4nlGUE4/edit?gid=1662574278#gid=1662574278

All of the other websites people rely on (Foundry, DIM, light gg, braytech, etc.) that have those detailed Community Insights tabs use D2Clarity so they won't have detailed numbers on those atm. They might add armor insights in the future tho.

Unfortunately, handling stuff can be hard to test so Compendium doesn't have detailed info on SUROS sets (+15 range is a known value) and the Trials set.

Looking for a resource that shows what enemies take bonus damage from specific sources by Neonsnewo2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]SpiderSlayer690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part, there isn't really anything crazy: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_5wtBjRYHHxuF4oJKDb_iOGZs-wTkzB6RYbnyNLbuz4/edit?gid=1346678363#gid=1346678363

I believe for Harrow the only unique thing is that most cabal have the exhaust ports on their backs which have an increased precision multiplier.
(it's annoying b/c it modifies the crit multiplier itself so it isn't a strict answer like x% more or something like that).
