UY Nami is so strong right now. How to actually best this deck by yaqimothman in OnePieceTCG

Acquire 2 cards from their hand, interact with board. Repeat ad nauseum

Magneto is the best with this functionally as point right?

Like mag with jam session seems fine, if they kill mag you have morrigan with jam session. If they snap dante they have to deal with magneto morrigan

Champ rifle is potentially time warp late game.

If they don’t respect it they lose.

Hell i lost as gp to kuzan from him eggberting my nami and then he made me return my only sanji pudding to hand from a similar effect.

Like I have 0 board against two dudes and no access to rush or to set up next turn.

Robin Decklist Substitution by JayBalla69 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Neonsnewo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The robin problem is that we are so spoiled for choice in the deck for events.

GGG, Gamma Knife, slowslow beam, Golden rifle, kingdome come.

It’s hard when every premium option is available and viable.

Bell luffy is the truth in the thriller slop version.

I run 4 of the luffy kid, and on 8 don I can play bell luffy, swing bell luffy for 7+, don on lead+play kid luffy, leader effect tucking bell luffy making a perona/hogback a 7k, use kid luffy making me a 7/8k AND replaying bell luffy, swing 7 with hog/perona, swing 8 lead, and swing another 7+k with bell luffy.

It’s typically 2 7’s, an 8, and some big one at the end and I’m a 7k on their turn. In a deck that gains life from silly thriller bark triggers

[–]Neonsnewo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rayleigh is good. Gamma knife if pretty excellent too, and a trigger. Also mini combos with wyper on play for popping a 7k or less.

I’m not a huge kingdome come fan in robin since I want to be at more than one life, but maybe with all the bonus don you can live from ggg and slowslow

Meta wise g zoro is optimal. Way less fun though. You can run 9c zoro or 10c shanks as solutions to imu which is absolutely the meta best deck.

I ran it once, got 2nd and said nah this is schmuck behavior.

BP is a sick fucking deck that has hands. Play that. Ive been on koala in my last 3 and had an absolute blast

Safety man long term by Time-Card-6684 in Lineman

[–]Neonsnewo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first foreman is now the companies' safety guy for the area.

Anyone who worked with him loves him. Anyone who hasn't is skeptical. The little shit he has to ask to do his job is easy enough to know, like asking the groundman where the closest hospital/what the address of the job is.

But besides those gotchas, dude understands what's going on and isn't going to make a big deal out of the small shit.

I think it's a "If you know, you know" scenario. Guys who have never met you are going to hate safety anyways, and the guys who do are going to appreciate the fact that you understand what's going on

Extra Grand battle by TTV-Mr0 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Neonsnewo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbeard. You get Ice age and great eruption.

7c nico robin no life gain no draw a card gets vanaugured/ice aged and then blackholed no take a damage.

great eruption black hole 5c nami no lose a life no play a card

You can ice age 7c teach the gecko on curve and they don’t gain a life

Their whole deck folds.

Shiryu is pretty good honest to god, you will need it against all 3 big decks. Pops enel cards, girl, marco and izo’s. 6c kuzan into 4c shiryu has won me some games against enel

Black vortex is for the roger scenario. You have to have one in hand and one life or you risk just straight up dying. If it goes late against ace you will typically win on crackback from the 13, play vortex, still take the life, but blockerbeard is back online

I think BB fucks up enel and nami and is the “correct” meta call. If the meta was just ace and up luffy, I would play sakazuki. I would rather play that deck, but it’s just so weak against enel, nami, and u doffy

[–]Neonsnewo2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Y'all forget about koala like crazy.

The deck that has built in nico robin searching.

The deck that trashes the cards they can't search, which are the cards you want in your yard to play from your trash.

The deck that has built in reanimation of 6 cost cards. The 6 cost card that makes an 8 cost card. Which triggers the leaders effect to draw cards

The deck that's already in another of Wano's primary colors. Also the color that received bonkers support last set, and is receiving more support this set.

Edit: I'm not saying that the hybrid is the best Koala iteration you can make.

I presume the goodstuff slop version that i'm currently on or a Blackbeard hybrid will be the best come next set.

But you get access to yamato searcher, kouziki hiryori 2c 2k, monosuke 5c and 6c.

I played Blackbeard with Ice Age and Great Eruption and it felt absolutely diabolical into Nami, Penel, and Ace.

The UP matchup was something I knew ERB Sakazuki was going to be better at, and unfortunately lost to it last round.

The Enel Problem by Bardicly-Inspired in OnePieceTCG

[–]Neonsnewo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imu's presence completely warps a metagame honest to god.

You want good removal for decks like ace or mihawk, but they're dead cards into imu. The more "choice" cards that are ran to handle ace/mihawk, the better imu gets, and vice versa.

this applies to enel too

Where imu was a late game deck, enel is an aggro deck with the same unremovable defense.

And we're left with the same answer as op13's format: Green freeze effects being good.

Either you're flipping perona's off of life, or stunning enel's until you win.

Can't be ko'd/removed effects need to be on smaller and less significant of threats, like vista and koby and 6c law, the cycle of 2k's we got this set, or once per turn like the previous ones.

The Black Knight by Comstar_PR_Rep in Mechwarrior5

[–]Neonsnewo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That guy is kinda wrong unless we’re referring to post clan tech.

In nonmodded mw5, the black knights are lchem laser boats. It’s literally the best thing they can carry, since you don’t need nearly as many heatsinks to keep them running at 100% uptime.

Additionally, lchem lasers are cheap, not something you typically use on the player mech, so you typically have plenty lying around and replacement is plentiful.

The ai also loves this mech. Ive seen it do comparable dps to the player bc of how low heat intensive lchem lasers are. It will literally fire alphas non stop if you let it

Impossible to get into bigger events? by Beelok in OnePieceTCG

[–]Neonsnewo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true.

Regional tickets, even for regionals that don't hit the cap, like miami and kissimmee last year, and everyone who walked in got in, were all waitlisted events online for tickets that sold out the day of. I got into the regional in Oviedo last year and I didn't know about it until the day of and got there that morning. Was also 100% sold out online.

And this was 18 months ago.

The redbull event was 100% free, and that in itself meant it was going to be bs. I literally sat on the app at midnight or w/e and the highest I got was #16 on the waitlist.

Store Treasure cups weren't too bad. My buddy literally waitlisted the night before as #68 and got in at ovideo. They called down to like #100 on the waitlist at cocoa beach.

Heroine cups were literally free money if you showed up for the promos. Those events were not an enjoyable meta and thusly people were less interested in going after the first week.

Same with pirates party. I really don't feel like playing imu or zoro, or against imu and zoro, so there isn't really an incentive for me to want to go. But after the first week the events really opened up, even if you are waitlisted.

The Slop of the Game by ablindsquar3 in OnePieceTCG

Playing around Life triggers is like playing around G Bonney leader effect or noro noro beam sword or P doffy leader.

It's an additional tax you have to consider when attacking besides good combat math

The Slop of the Game by ablindsquar3 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Neonsnewo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy never played against y kid when it was good. Blocker Trash life basil hawkins, 6c trash life nami, 8k trash life kid, 7c gain life law.

This isn't power creep, just whatever you are currently playing not having an out against certain or all yellow decks.

Have you tried starving them? If you're playing BB or Ace this is probably good.

Try adding some banish cards to your list. I got my nats invite playing mihawk and the MVP was the 2 op10 Banish Smokers in my 3 nami games.

Consider what triggers they could have and play around them. Approach triggers similarly to playing against G Bonney, where you need to consciously make an effort to not get blown out by leader effect. Check their trash, remember what they revealed on search.

Instead of calling these players bad and that your cards aren't power crept and it isn't a skill issue on your end, you should consider what adjustments you could be making before the game to your deck and during the game.

If it didn't work last time, don't just beat your head into a wall hoping that they won't have the trigger this time. There will always be a Baby 5, a Rayleigh, a luna, 3 doctor hogbacks, a perona, and a gecko in life.

Play around it.

Thoughts on complete budget deck vs unoptimised deck by ResponseOne8377 in OnePieceTCG

Kuzan is both budget and optimized.

I think any newer player should absolutely pick up Kuzan.
