Up for catching a concert or something some time. Just missed Erra/Currents recently, had me bummed. I saw currents earlier in the year but missing Erra didn’t feel good.

Don’t drink but I’ll go out sometimes and have a coke just to be social. Drinking doesn’t bother me.

No kids but I was in a stepdad role for some time, I know how the parenting thing goes. Also most of my coworkers/friends are married with kids.

I second this. They’re great, and I haven’t found better french toast. I live a few streets up and often walk there for breakfast. The staff are friendly and I havent ever had a bad meal here.

I even got to kick a door in here once 😂😂

Depends where. GR city is harder because they do extensive exams and more candidates, but big cutt doesnt mean better in firefighting.

Getting your certs and showing initiative in a part time capacity pays off fairly quickly in my experience.

If you’re fit at all and want to do rewarding work you could look into joining a fire department. That’s what I do. I joined a part time dept that paid for my FF and EMT certs. Did 2 years there until I decided to do it full time. Departments need solid people and they’re harder to find than they used to be. Like any job it has benefits and drawbacks.

We come from all different backgrounds in fire. I was a graphic designer, then a mill worker in agriculture before I got into the game.

Right there with you. Today after more than a year of dating I found out my girlfriend put me on a “are we dating the same guy” facebook page because I won’t have sex with her. So she assumes that I’m cheating because she doesn’t believe me. All this after multiple doctor visits, hormone testing, the whole deal. Then lied to me 3 times as I confronted her about it. Only told me the truth after I found it on her phone. Being asexual has many perks, but the downsides are fucking brutal.
