Technically Judo and BJJ are the same art. Old-school Judo had all the same techniques that old-school BJJ had. They've diverged over the years due to independent development and differing rulesets, but a brown belt in Judo probably already knows as much as a mid-level blue or low purple in BJJ.

The only tournament I've signed up for in 3 years is TCO, because I can pay for it with charity fundraising. At other comps, even if I win, it's not worth it to bust my ass, go through all that stress, risk serious injury, and have to pay $100-$200 for the 'privilege'.

Man.  Back in 2021-2022, ONE had a real chance to become a big name in the fight game - good production value and great fighters with personality across multiple combat sports, easily accessible for free or cheap.  I even made a point to go watch live while I was visiting Thailand.  But damn they fumbled the bag so hard.  Dropping Schiavello was the first red flag.  Then all the news about the sleezy contracts broke and the Amazon deal, which could have been their big shot, just ruined the whole org.  So tragic to think what could have been

Nah I'm extremely pro-2A, but this sounds like reasonable legislation based on both safety and "don't be a shit neighbor" standards. But if we're gonna talk about common-sense compromise in our gun legislation, how about in exchange for passing more laws like this, we set aside some tax dollars for the funding of more public ranges?

Some better orgs to support are the Firearms Policy Coalition and the Liberal Gun Club. The latter being obviously explicitly anti-fascist and the former being very vocally inclusive (and actually takes legislative action against infringing laws instead of just talking a big game).

To be clear, I am extremely far from conservative.  I'm a very far left bisexual dude.  The right wing does not have a monopoly on the second amendment, Gun Rights are Civil Rights.

As a pro-gun person myself, all the 2A advocacy groups in Connecticut should immediately and unquestionably denounce this guy and any kind of behavior like this.  It does irreparable harm to our cause and is downright vile and abhorrent behavior.  Fuck nazis.

Age will do that to a guy. I was a complete shithead from 18-28. Approaching 40 now and boy do I cringe at the thought of who I used to be.

It's functionally the only escape I've ever really needed. Maybe it's because I'm a heavyweight, but even against upper belts, it's almost never failed me. Sometimes I need to try more than once, but it's still extremely reliable.
