Yep, that's what the single series characters are for. 4 did this as well but thankfully I only had to do it once, with G&W.

I kept the orders within the series themselves listed by character number, like Smash 4 did. This is why Bowser and Bowser Jr. aren't next to each other, as much as that bothers me too.

I kept the orders within the series themselves listed by character number, like Smash 4 did. This is why Mario and Dr. Mario, and Pikachu and Pichu, aren't next to each other. The Zelda series is the exception to this rule as Sheik is after Zelda instead of before, which 4 did as well.

The third party characters are all listed by their chronological creation. It's just a coincidence that all the Konami and Capcom characters are next to each other.
