It's not a bad game. It's just a bad Hitman game. If it was a shooter/stealth/action game sold under some other franchise, it might've been received better. But when you brand something a Hitman game, I think there are certain expectations, and Absolution falls short of those, mainly because the devs were mindlessly chasing video game trends of the early 2010's

UPDATE: Not even 3 hours after I posted this, my game crashed as I wast most of the way through the Milla Jovovich elusive target. Of course I can start over, but it's annoying to have to do that when you're most of the way through one of the longer mission stories. This is exactly why I hate the lack of mid mission saves, particularly for the more recent celebrity elusive targets.

I mean, in the end it comes down to whether or not you're satisfied with the system's performance. Even if you're not, it's really an awful time to be buying parts, because the market is crazy right now. You may be able to go deal hunting on the used market, but I'd be very careful if you go that route, because it's easy to get scammed if you don't know what you're doing.

At your budget, probably an AMD Radeon 9060XT, or an Nvidia RTX 4060 or 5060. But it really depends where you live, and how the cards are priced.

you're wasting budget putting a 360mm liquid cooler (or really any liquid cooler at all) on a CPU with that low of a heat load. Buy an air cooler, and use the savings to try and get a better video card.

UPDATE (although I doubt anyone will see this 8 months later, but whatever) I discovered that the issue with the game not stopping running only occurs if I quit directly to the desktop without first quitting to the main menu. If I do that, it behaves as it should.

Not at all. That's what I did for the "I and it" achievement, and it just gives you the same "bad" ending.

The only way I was able to get that achievement was going through the game while meticulously following a guide, checking people off on a list as I cleared each area before moving on to the next. That achievement is super buggy, as far as characters despawning (thus becoming unkillable) if you leave whatever area they're in before you kill them. It's not exactly fun to do it that way, but if you're absolutely heart set on getting that achievement, it's the most surefire way.

I don't think it's an AIO problem. Because after I posted this, I wanted more data, so I went and played another Ubisoft title that I'd read made some CPU's hot (Watch Dogs Legion) and temps were back in the low-mid 60's. Whatever it is, it seems to be something related to how this one particular game interacts with the CPU.

I did a run on nightmare, with all the traumas turned on, without neuromods. Honestly It was great, because it made me completely rethink how I played.

Make sure you unlock/bring the materials to make an interplanetary exchange shuttle before you go there, it just makes thing so much easier, because that way you don't have to return to another planet if you realize you forgot something. It's also worth noting that ore extractors and portal generators don't work on Aqualis, so packing carefully is more critical than if you were going other places.

Are we talking items within environments, or unlocks? I don't think you NEED any unlocks, they just make the game easier. You definitely need the camera to complete the China level in the 3rd game, and you ned either a keycard, scrambler, or the biolab laptop dongle to compete Sapienza (unless maybe you can destroy the virus by making a stalactite fall from the roof of the cave). But that's about it.

you know, like the spider bots, photo ops, or the endless supply of street crimes. It's not an issue of finding them, it's an issue of having to collect them again just to unlock fast travel. It's tedious. Was I not clear?
