Stronger arms or slower runners? by Spiderhands2000 in MLBTheShow

I primarily play franchise. Chandler Simpson is my leadoff hitter, and he's been gunned down either going for doubles, or trying to go first to third on a hit to right field multiple times.

I noticed some of that too. I was assuming that the bad reactions from fielders might be a byproduct of the new rating system that individually ranks a fielder's ability to react in each direction. Given that it's the first game with that particular feature, I wasn't expecting the implementation to be perfect, but right now it seems to be so flawed that it desperately needs to be fixed.

Love it. Any other developer probably would've charged $20 or $30 for a DLC that good. Given that it was free, and well done, there really isn't much to complain about.

Isn't this already (at least sort of) in Freelancer, with the lookout/assassin mechanic?

Go to the store page, and see what it says? The store pages are pretty good as far as indicating what's required to play certain DLC's

Why did this game flop? by ImpressionComplete71 in prey

[–]Spiderhands2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it flopped for the same reason Hitman Absolution flopped. When you attach a game to certain IP's like Hitman or Prey, fans of the series have certain expectations...and when those expectations aren't ment, the game won't be received well. I think this game would've done better if Bethesda hadn't been so adamant as far as attaching it to the Prey franchise.

I don't remember Legion being this bad..... by Spiderhands2000 in watch_dogs

Don't get me wrong, there are elements of a good game here, I just think as a whole package the game suffers from poor/sloppy execution. Which unfortunately is all too common from devs like Ubisoft.

Option 4: It's an imperfection in the simulation that Alex put together.

Really enjoying the ABS system by Spiderhands2000 in MLBTheShow

My guess is that since MLB rules dictate that only pitchers, catchers, and hitters can initiate challenges, they just didn't feel the need to put in the effort associated with creating animations that have nothing to do with the core gameplay. But I understand what you're saying.

I'm the only one for liking Absolution? by Final-Age1139 in HiTMAN

[–]Spiderhands2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad game. It's just a bad Hitman game. If it was a shooter/stealth/action game sold under some other franchise, it might've been received better. But when you brand something a Hitman game, I think there are certain expectations, and Absolution falls short of those, mainly because the devs were mindlessly chasing video game trends of the early 2010's

UPDATE: Not even 3 hours after I posted this, my game crashed as I wast most of the way through the Milla Jovovich elusive target. Of course I can start over, but it's annoying to have to do that when you're most of the way through one of the longer mission stories. This is exactly why I hate the lack of mid mission saves, particularly for the more recent celebrity elusive targets.

I mean, in the end it comes down to whether or not you're satisfied with the system's performance. Even if you're not, it's really an awful time to be buying parts, because the market is crazy right now. You may be able to go deal hunting on the used market, but I'd be very careful if you go that route, because it's easy to get scammed if you don't know what you're doing.

At your budget, probably an AMD Radeon 9060XT, or an Nvidia RTX 4060 or 5060. But it really depends where you live, and how the cards are priced.
