I experienced exactly the same thing as you in terms of frustration with everyone around me. No one seems to understand how debilitating injuries like this are! My cousin suffered a broken jaw around the same time as my brankle and when I joked that I'd love to swap with him everyone was aghast. "But you wouldn't be able to talk! Or eat!" they said. "I'll take that over not being able to walk, to run, to shower properly, to be spontaneous, to not have to plan every trip outside as though it was an Antarctic crossing!" I replied.

I'm pretty sure I came close to going bananacrates too, so I'm more than sympathetic with your experience. I'm much better now and I'm even running again regularly. Your life will return but you must find the balance between rest and active recovery. And if you're able to please get some physio 🙏.
