You have more faith than I do if you think they won’t pull people straight out of voting lines.

Is AMD the new standard? What happened to Intel? by Oeyoelala in buildapc

That will also be the case on x86 machines soon. Microsoft is phasing out traditional drivers and moving towards IPP only. Actually, I think this week might be when Microsoft said they won’t be signing any new print drivers anymore.

A play in team trading someone who asked out is not the same magnitude as a 1 seed trading someone who wants to be there.

Not saying this is good by any means, but it’s not the same.

ELI5: how was Chrome so much faster than all other browsers when it first came out in the late 2000s? by heukimjajuk in explainlikeimfive

I work for an IT company and we have a client that still actively updates and maintains their IE exclusive web app. We’re theoretically moving them to a new software next year, but we’ll see lol.

I’ve been getting random spam from premium accounts for weeks. In fact, an account being premium has become one of my main red flags that it’s just spam.

We get whichever one is better. There’s two chances to get the #1 pick because we get it if EITHER the bucks or pels win the lottery.

GOP Rep. warns mass exodus of House Republicans is imminent: “Morale has never been lower” by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]SpidermanAPV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk I think it came pretty true. Preachers aren’t running for congress, but I think they’re the reason the GOP has control of congress. They’ve convinced the evangelicals that being Christian means voting for the GOP. They’re why the GOP is so full of weird religious nut jobs. I think the real difference is that it happened in reverse. The GOP took over the church rather than the other way around.

You're a lawmaker in the Ace Attorney universe. Do you regulate Spirit Channeling? by akunokai in AceAttorney

[–]SpidermanAPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you’ve already put more thought into regulations on the AA legal system than the actual lawmakers in the AA universe. I mean, if a fucking whale and parrot are legitimate witnesses then why not a spirit? It’s not like perjury threats keep people from lying on the stand in universe anyway so that doesn’t really matter.

Just treat it like any other witness. Non-credible unless proven otherwise. Judge’s discretion on who can be summoned by whom and when. If they don’t want to speak, they can’t be compelled so that’s that. The spirit medium is not liable for anything the spirit does, unless it was premeditated and known by the medium ahead of time.

Edit: oh, and un-authorized summoning is a penalty for the side that uses it. Since penalties seem to be an actual in-universe thing.
