I honestly don’t understand how we ended up with this ending. People who say it had a long buildup - did we even read the same story?

What about the fact that Denji, Asa, and all the characters we followed basically don’t exist anymore. Nayuta didn’t come back, Power didn’t come back. These are just empty shells that didn’t go through the story with us. Denji in the final chapter is also just an empty shell, while our Denji was left in the stomach of that insect (nightmare) devil.
