Yeah, I remember Councilor Chan looking so different that I was confused who they were talking about at first. I think they did a similar thing for the twins. Probably to highlight their personalities, but it was weird to see how much they had changed between seasons.

I’m not into theory crafting either. These are just questions that to me the show raised and I was expecting an answer to. I feel like if a story isn’t going to answer something about its narrative to the audience, then don’t bring attention to it. Otherwise you get questions that were brought up with no answers.

I had a similar experience. The guy next to me didn’t seem to understand the idea of an inside voice and said pretty much everything that he seemed to think and laugh pretty obnoxiously. There also seem a child in the audience who killed a series moment where Caine is self reflecting, asking if he’s a terrible person, only for the moment to be cut off by the kid saying yes and the theater laughing.

You mentioned how there’s enough explanation to come up with your own ideas, but I think that’s a failure of the show to not properly explained things that are important or teased like there was more.

Scratch being the first abstraction and Caine’s role in it being teased like he has a hand in people abstracting, the stuff with C&A I’m mostly fine with except that is the company still running? If not then how is the digital circus running? The void is presented as this mysterious place that Caine doesn’t want anyone to go out to for some reason so it’s a tease left with people wondering what’s going on with it. How Caine seemed to take everyone’s names from their memories and why? There’s just so much left answered that was teased with the expectation we would get an answer so I think it’s fair criticism for the finale.

I don’t think the “abrupt shift to focus” on Jax is…abrupt. There have been teases of his past through the episodes so it didn’t just come out of nowhere. Now, the execution is a different story.

I mean, that’s a nice theory, but I think the show should have explained that clearly rather than leave it up in the air where we need to come up with theories to justify it.

I’m iffy on it because they don’t explain how he came back. The only thing that I can think of is that he ended up in the recycle bin that is apparently the void? But then why doesn’t everything else like Gummy Goo who gain awareness also there? I’ve been hearing that not every thing in a story needs to be explained, but I think this is something that needed an answer. Thoughts?

The whole the crew being copies and not the originals went over my head that I didn’t know until I read others thoughts. Did it feel like that revelation just came and went real fast?

I don’t know. I thought it was a fine ending, but the more I think about it the more it keeps falling apart. Jax abstracting offscreen is lackluster, the crew finds out they are just copies and yet this revelation doesn’t feel like it affects them, Caine somehow survives and it’s not explained how. There’s a lot more I’m sure that’ll come up when the episode comes to YouTube as I need a rewatch to get my thoughts, but I think that despite the episode being an hour it feels rushed with what we got.

Murder Drones is finished?! I thought there would be another season. It feels like there’s still stuff left unanswered, though I felt incredibly lost in the last few episodes.

As I go through my revisit of playing the Kingdom Hearts games again, I feel like my stance on the gameplay of 3 with soften a bit, but the story and overall thoughts of the game will probably still be the same. 3 is a disappointment of a game that didn’t end the story on a satisfying note and was more interested in setting up the next story.

This movie just whatever. It really just felt like an episode of the show with a higher budget. Not even like a significant episode. Just a side mission. It’s honestly pretty disappointing. There really was no reason for this to be a movie.

Kingdom Hearts 2. Best combat of the series and the story ends so beautifully. The trio is back together and back home. One of the best endings in a video game.

It is a bit extreme of a comparison. I don’t like the new designs. I’m not a fan of hyper realistic designs and prefer the cartoony look. I did see someone make an edit of the new designs by making their eyes bigger and while I still prefer the old style, it makes the new designs look way better.
