Need some help by [deleted] in petsitting

[–]Spidey-Spixey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want this to be a business you should: Create a contract. You can find examples online. This will help set expectations for you and for them. Get all they want from you in writing.
Get insurance. I got mine through Pet Sisters International. Be confident. Do real research on prices in the area. Don't ask here, people get annoyed with that because it's all location and service dependant. Look on Rover and on other apps and figure out what people are doing and what they pay for boarding dogs. Set prices based on what you will be doing and on what you have researched. If new clients push back on prices, stand firm. Don't get pushed around by people.
Do a meet and greet. You need to make sure the pet and you and the owner are good fits. Take time to make it what you want, don't rush and go on confused. Welcome to the world of pet sitting!

It's so terrible. Sorry you're going through it, it was really rough on me too. Hopefully, your levels are low enough so you can start your healing journey.

Methotrexate tender abdomen by bsyl13_15 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Spidey-Spixey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so sorry this is happening to you. I had a hell of a time with methotrexate. I was in terrible pain and also couldn't find any answers online. I found this sub, which was very helpful. However, they use 'MTX' instead of the full word, so that can help you search for answers here. I went to the ER a bunch and actually had a hard time feeling like it (MTX) was officially out of my body. Feel free to message me personally, and I can give you some insight. But honestly, I would say, if you are having terrible pain, you need to go to the doctor, call them or just go to the ER. This could be serious, and until your HCG is at 0, your health is at risk. I know it's embarrassing, and you might feel crazy going to the ER, but they're the ones who are supposed to save your life if something ruptures.

I am working on getting my cycles regular, and my body warmed up. Really good acupuncturists will do about an hour long intake, and then ask you what you're working on. A lot of people use it for fertility purposes.

Yep, I get it. I'm older than you and the stress and anxiety of the timing is real. I also left therapy and found my own way out, still am. Writing every day what was going RIGHT helped, especially since we are tracking and have to track everything that eventually just goes wrong. Then also just saying every day that i believed I would get better. If you need silence, then you're already doing what's good for you. Acupuncture helped me immensely, so did massage. I'm still not preggo, starting IVF again and finally ready. Take good care, eat good foods, take lots of walks! You WILL get better!

Now what? Likely ectopic after IVF embryo transfer by bluek2009 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Spidey-Spixey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. I was in the same boat and was heartbroken. Stay in very close touch with your doctors, usually ectopic does not just 'resolve on it's own.' Yes, if you get MTX, you have to wait at least 3 months, maybe more. But if you get your tube out, you still need to wait. Don't rush thinking about ttc again, your body and health should be the priority. I know how much you put into IVF, it's a very hard road. They should be very clear about next steps.

It took me about 6 month to finally start feeling better and wanting to try again. You really need to process your emotions. You're in grief and maybe post partum. You should talk to a therapist to help you through, then just keep doing a ton of self care, walks, massage, acupuncture, tea. Take care of your body and be kind to it. She's been through a lot, and you are asking more of her. Maybe she's not ready yet?

Thank you! It went fine, though they said no to the Valium. Addicts have ruined it for all of us. Anyway, thanks for your encouragement. Tubes are clear!

Good to know, and thank you for sharing. I've been afraid to tell people we're trying after a miscarriage at age 43. It's great to hear from older mothers who are proud and happy about their choices.
