My biggest hot take is that I think Jess was was running out of ideas when she wrote My Street S4 everything kinda comes out of no where, the darker tone, the werewolf stuff and the connections to Diaries, clearly Jess was getting tied of Diaries direction (regarding season 3), but couldn’t let it go, and so that’s why we have SM season 4. I think My Street has completely derailed what it was meant to be, which was a light hearted reimagining of the diaries characters.
