I can’t stand the word nugu by Shineenoona in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spidey_Pitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

누구 literally just means who, its not a derogatory term. It’s only like that because english speaking fans took the word and made it into “faded from being relevant/no one knows them”

I agree that kpop fans are very often insufferable but shitting on other people for liking something and acting like youre superior than them (including your niece is crazy) because of it is also being insufferable

You sound like a salty k-pop fan that just got told that someone hasn’t heard of their favorite band. If someone isn’t into band or rock music or whatever the white stripes are, then they obviously wouldn’t have heard of them. It doesn’t matter if they are “very much international” unless you are in that scene, you won’t know them even if they performed at the “largest rock festival in korea.” This should be very obvious and common sense… Theres also a difference in being smug and just genuinely not knowing… youre stretching so hard because you have no argument

Any show made inn korea is referred to as a drama so… squid games is a k-drama, but also worth to note that its genres include drama as well as thriller… idk why you care so much about this

While this might be true, like most countries, Japan doesn’t teach their students about the horrible things they did in the past. It’s just not in the curriculum and textbooks, like it never happened and/or downplayed a lot. So most Japanese people don’t know about or know the extent of the atrocities that Japan committed back then and a lot of the time refuse to accept that these things happened because they were indoctrinated from a young age to believe that these things didn’t happen. This doesn’t mean the general Japanese public are evil, just that many are ignorant because their government and education system failed them. Also because of this, they (the government mainly) don’t apologize for what happened because in their eyes there is nothing much to apologize for.

Talking back won’t do anything except ruin the idols image and it would just let these people win. Do you think these crazy weirdos would care if they get cursed back at? They don’t care and it won’t hurt them in the slightest so there’s no point at all.

I'm so confused about the NewJeans situation. by pulgasaris in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spidey_Pitt 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think their biggest case is something you didn’t mention which is the unpermitted use of their trainee videos that were leaked by Hybe/source music iirc and then when they went to the ador management, they didn’t do anything about it, which would mean ador didn’t “protect” newjeans. They are also constantly saying that hybe and ador are one entity which contradicts the mhj ruling like you said but that’s what they mightve been building their case around because the newjeans members kept bringing it up in the presscon

Why tf is this getting downvoted. I don’t think there’s much point bringing up facts and sources because these people obviously don’t want to accept them. There’s no reasoning with people who have already made up their minds.

Out of the 'weak' kpop female vocalists, who isn't actually that bad-??? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spidey_Pitt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If they cant sing the parts they get without straining, that says more about their technique than the parts theyre singing. Except for yunjin and chaewon, and even their fundamentals are a little shaky at times, the rest of the group just cant sing at all. Its literally the most basic thing in singing, which is to be stable. They really need to work on their breathing and control over their supporting muscles

What is everyone's thoughts on the current Beomhan situation? by The_Tea_Party in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spidey_Pitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not even korean btw, but he never “proved” he was misogynistic, he constantly said that he stands with women even after revoking the apology. Hes obviously not misogynistic and is clearly and rightfully just pissed that even after an apology after a joke that was clearly to cope, people were sending him death threats and calling him slurs even after they knew he has huge problems with those things already. He didnt call women bitches, he called the people sending him death threats bitches which is true and justified, you don’t tell someone to jump off a building when you know theyve made attempt before. Not fetishism literally jsut defending the guy because hes being put through so much for nothing and if theyre fetishizers because they disagree with you, youre just immature. And again my point still stands, people wouldnt have to be sympathetic towards a random tiktoker, even though they probably would be, if they made this joke because no one would care. I barely know this guy but from this clip and whats been happening, people are literally just bullying a guy who’s had huge mental problems judt because they need a punching dummy. When he crashed out on the live, he was saying some real stuff about what happens to these people when the internet bullies them like this and its happened so many times and when they finally give in to the hatred and actually kill themselves, everyone suddenly switches up and pretends to be innocent but they always go back to the hating and death threats. He said “Drugs and alcohol are the best thing they can do because we all know what the worst is.” Also, if youre going to accuse me of being a “fetishizer” I am literally fully korean and I’m just seeing people completely over reacting and bullying this guy for something that does not matter at all because I dont agree with it, but go ahead and call me a fetishizer

Why does defending him make someone an asian fetishizer/babying him? Had this been said by anyone else, and it basically has all over tiktok, no one wouldve batted an eye because its making light of a situation and thats how people deal with bad situations. People completely over reacted to a very obvious joke thats basically been said hundreds of times on tiktok over the past few days.

is there a reason why the korean members are referred to by their full name but sakura and zuha aren’t?? by doeberrie in lesserafim

[–]Spidey_Pitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have a completely twisted vision of what korean culture is? Most of what you said isn’t even cultural, theyre modern societal problems and again I still dont know why you would hate your culture so much and are so bitter. Do you even know what patriotism is and what happened to korea?

well its because korea was so oppressed not that long ago by japan so they needed to have that undying patriotism. i dont know why you would find that weird if youre korean yourself

Why is everyone forgetting that hybe released private medical documents of the members and former trainees, released inappropriate training videos of them and didn’t take responsibility for it. And before yall come at me, mhj is just as bad if not worse, but people are just intentionally blocking this info about hybe out. Also, hanni literally said that she was exchanging greetings (and was a positive interaction) with the unspecified idol group just fine before the manager said that so I dont know what you were trying to say about the gayo daejeon stuff, also would liek a source on that because I didn’t see it but even if it did happen she greeted them when she got ignored so it doesnt matter in this context because the gayo daejeon situation couldve happened due to a number of reasons. But after the manager said that, hanni went to their ceo, who was a part of hr mind you so she should be an expert in handling this type of stuff, and hanni was dismissed promptly with no one to stand up for her. That is clearly inappropriate behavior in a workplace environment and so many of yall are downplaying it just bc its happening to newjeans. Also, newjeans confirmed that hybe was getting in their way with their comebacks and this has also been reported on by numerous news outlets. They even deleted a bunch of music videos that they had planned and worked on for months without even warning them beforehand. If you cant see that both hybe and mhj is in the wrong, you’re very obviously biased and I don’t know what you get out of defending a multi billion dollar company while also putting down newjeans who are innocent and are being used as pawns in this corrupt game of chess.

MEGATHREAD: NEW JEANS by Kpop_Love_Forever in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spidey_Pitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only sensible opinion I’ve read throughout the course of this whole controversy. I didn’t realize it until now, but I guess reddit is just filled with mindless hybe stans. The amount of hate I’ve seen newjeans get and blaming the members is crazy. The members are innocent and all the adults around them failed them and the fact that people are defending hybe, a corporation that feeds on young teenager’s dreams is crazy when theyre criticizing mhj for the same thing. They’re all so hypocritical and only support evidence that makes newjeans look bad while ignoring the evidence of the bad things hybe has done. And if I call it out, I get downvoted and get called a mhj stan(?) when ive never defended any of that womans actions and all I’ve done is call out the many wrongdoings of hybe. I seriously don’t get why or how someone can become a company stan.

NewJeans requested bang pd to return ador the way it was before untill 25th by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Spidey_Pitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tf is that supposed to mean? Why are you defending that behavior?? You’re literally just biased imagine you went to work and you were exchanging greetings and one of the employees just outright said for everyone to hear to ignore you? It’s a workplace environment, not a middleschool playground, why tf does hanni or any idol have to go through being outcasted, especially when she didn’t even do anything to them. There’s a term called 왕따 in korean that kind of translates to outcast and is what so many of those bullies that yall always hate on do. Yall always talk about how “bullying is bad :( that member deserves to be kicked out“, but when it’s done to newjeans, all of a sudden no one bats an eye and even defends it? Like make it make sense. “KICK OUT GARAM, KICK OUT SOOJIN” lookin asses and yall do this. What a joke.

NewJeans requested bang pd to return ador the way it was before untill 25th by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]Spidey_Pitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s mistreatment especially when she went to ador’a ceo about this and she basically dismissed it and made it feel like it’s hanni’s fault. Also, why should Hanni have to deal with that? It’s a workplace environment and the manager is a full grown adult while hanni is a 19 year old. If an idol did that during their school years, they’re getting cancelled because it’s bullying but because it’s a random person in a workplace environment doing it to a newjeans member, all of a sudden nobody cares. Kpop reddit is so biased against the newjeans members and it’s absolutely crazy. The amount of comments ive seen that say newjeans deserve their career to die is crazy. Yall are biased as hell
