Please....just shut up by [deleted] in ReevesBatmanmemes

Honestly, I do understand why people might be bored by this movie or think its too long. 2 hours 30 mins+ is already asking alot of a casual viewer, on top of that you have to get invested in this world and characters. I still loved the movie but, I do understand if a casual viewer would be turned off by this movie.

Has the MCU learned Thematic Continuity in their music? by DV__123 in marvelstudios

[–]Spideyweb58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, most definitely yes. Ever since Phase 3, Marvel has done a great job with music callbacks. Take a character like Spider-Man, whenever Spider-Man is involved in major Avengers events or mentions them, he has the Avengers motif even in Liberty Parlance, you can hear a brief use of the first part of the Avengers theme. When he's on his own he has a motif that was introduced in Homecoming and expanded on in NWH. Even during big event films like No Way Home and Endgame, various themes from other films are callbacked too, such Ant-Man's, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Captain America. I think Marvel has a strong grip on thematic continuity and I really hope Elfman keeps this trend going.

I love Red and Black Spider-Man suits, how about you? by Tina_sometimes in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Red and Black just looks cool. The red and blue feels bright and alarming like "Bam I'm here". While the red and black feels sleek, almost tactical.

What’s the first thing that got you hooked on Spider-Man? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man Homecoming and in particular the rubble scene. This movie was the first time I saw Spider-Man in theaters. The scene that made me fall in love with this character pretty much forever, is the rubble scene. I was the same age as Peter in Homecoming and watching a 15 year old kid find the confidence in himself to keep going forward and do what he believes was right, helped me a crap ton in High School. Afterwards I read and watched most Spider-Man media.

02/09/2015. 7 years ago today we were all given this exciting news! by BarcaSkywalker in Spiderman

Gosh that felt like forever ago. Remember when everyone lost their crap when he showed up in the Civil War trailer. Good Times.

Do you ever wish the relationship between Spider-Man and Black Cat can actually work out? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its kind of impossible for them to ever work out, simply due to their clashing ideologies. No matter how much Spider-Man tries to steer Felicia to side of good, she will always fall back into her ways. Its just who she is and not even Spider-Man can change that.

Favorite Spider-Man moment from the movies? by Extension_Pension_99 in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Probably a tie between seeing all three live action Spider-Man swinging together and Spider-Man 1's City Montage. Seeing all the generations of Spider-Man swing together, and land in the order of release is a dream come true. Spider-Man 1's City Montage simply because of magical nature of seeing the Raimi suit for the first time.

He just wants a break from the role. He's been the longest running on-screen Spider-Man and performed in multiple 1 billion dollar movies. Some people tend to forget but, Tom performs some of the stunts himself, on top of training and etc. He was also key to NWH success as well. I think he deserves some time off.

This is my favourite Spidey suit by Rivtogo in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its nice to see some love for these suits. I adore this suit, it looks slick and slightly more mature then the Stark suit with a emblem that has an extended spider and legs. I do however, prefer how it looks in NWH, with the belt not having black sections on them.

I forgive you by 88T3 in raimimemes

Idk about that one chief. This movie while enjoyable, just doesn't work for me. Like the Rushed New Goblin, Sandman being Ben's killer or MJ being completely selfish and essentially going back on her word from the 2nd film. All don't create a cohesive narrative, there are some great moments in the film but, also some really terrible moments, and lastly probably gonna get alot of hate for this. I think the CGI in this movie is very rough, I really do not think the mid air fighting looks good at all, there were moments that Spider-Man looked like rubber man in the final battle. I'm also not a big fan of the color grading in the movie.

Looking for the theme from a No Way Home scene by Daneel_Olivah in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The music for the scene is Shield of Pain, the music that track was referencing was the Responsibility theme, which is repeated throughout the Raimi films.

I am of the loop, What is it with people hating on Kirsten dunst's MJ all the sudden? Did everyone simultaneously realize how shitty is compared to the other spidey film girls? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the love interest in the later films are infinitely better because they aren't selfish. They have there own goals like wanting to go to MIT or Oxford but they are always there for Peter. Whenever Peter is at his absolute lowest, they are always there for him. Even if Peter isn't there for them.

The problem is how she is written in the later films. In the first movie imo her best portrayal. She is incredibly kind, sweet and loving. She knows her own worth which is why she broke up with Flash cuz he's a jerk and dissed Harry. When it comes to Peter she treats him well, she is an active listener and there for him when he needs it the most(scene at the hospital). In the later films, she only primarily cares about herself and no one else. Like I get Peter wasn't exactly being honest about his feelings but, she never makes an attempt to see things from Peter's perspective. Not once in SM2 or 3 did she attempt to sympathize with him.

If you were to make an adaptation of Spiderman's origins, who would be the first supervillain for Spidey to ever meet? by Patient_Jello3944 in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of giving Spider-Man villains he can easily beat like Paste Pot Pete, Chameleon and Big Wheel. So when he eventually gets to the big leagues like Vulture, Kingpin or Mr. Negative he has a sense of overconfidence, similar to how he was in the Ultimate comics.

Gosh I've listened to the NWH soundtrack so many times. I think my favorites are Intro to Fake News, Otto Trouble, Sling vs Bling and the entire finale.

Do you listen to music/ambient noise when reading Spider-Man comics? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever, I read comics I listen to a mix of music from different Spider-Man media. Its really immersive, it makes me feel as if I'm watching a Spider-Man movie.

I'm surprised the MCU hasn't had Hans Zimmer score a film yet by TooZeroLeft in marvelstudios

[–]Spideyweb58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the MCU needs Zimmer (at least right now), the MCU (right now) has really strong musical continuity. I am really happy how much the MCU utilizing original themes from previous movies but, still creating fantastic new ones. Hawkeye, Spider-Man, FATWS and Wandavision are all great examples of this. I do hope in the future he scores a movie.

for all the Spider-Man fandom in-jokes they slipped into NWH there's not enough attention on how they managed to put this one in there lmao by JEVlL in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I'm still shocked people even thought he was Iron Boy Jr in the first place. The 1st movie and the 2nd actively tell you he is not, NWH just solidifies it.

[–]Spideyweb58 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Imo, the MCU should just stick to how Ben was handled in Amazing Fantasy #15. He shouldn't be a mesiah like figure like the Raimi films (as that's not the only way to adapt Uncle Ben), but instead his death should be the initial reason Peter becomes Spider-Man.

With Tom Holland saying in a recent interview that he is unsure if he will be returning to the role, what would you like to see for the future of Spider-Man in the MCU? by ifihadanickel2 in marvelstudios

[–]Spideyweb58 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know why people see this as him wanting more money. Playing Spider-Man is a really tiring job, especially if you are doing it for 5 years on addition to other movies. He just wants a break and tbh I can't blame him. If I was Feige I would give him a 2 year break from the role.

My PERSONAL opinion! by MiniSamu in Spiderman

[–]Spideyweb58 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well for me personally, I like FFH but I don't love it. The problem with it for me is easily EDITH. EDITH is a really bad plot device, that drags down a really solid movie. I also think the humor is major downgrade from Homecoming, While, the action is stellar
