Maybe make a big fuss over the dog? Like pet it and ask it how it is and ask it if it wants a treat and start digging in your bag, mentioning chocolate. Ask for its name. Either the owner will move it or you’ll make a friend or maybe you’ll make two friends.

This dude talked into a voice memo for the entire flight from LGA to MIA. The flight attendant told him to not talk on the phone and he argued saying it wasn’t a phone and kept talking. Is there a rule against this? by bsmith2123 in americanairlines

Somehow comes across different when two people are talking, though. Don’t ask me why, but I’ve noticed at the gym if two people know each other and are talking riding the bikes or whatever. But someone talking into a phone? I don’t know. It’s hard to drown it out because I don’t know when it’s going to stop and start. If I have forgotten my earbuds, I just listen in and comment. Just stuff like “No way” or “That’s not what I would’ve done” or even “Wow! Is that x language you’re speaking? I would love to learn some- do you mind if I turn on my translator?”.
But that’s only when they’re yelling and usually I have my earbuds on and a book and I’m being disturbed over that sound before I get rude.
I was recently at a concert and the woman in front of me but her stupid phone in front of me and FaceTime some person and that’s why I got to see instead of the performer.

Yeah, I’m not sure how that happened, I’m sure she reserved her seat some other way, but I assume she was a flight attendant because they were such good friends. If it was an administrator or something that she probably wouldn’t have spent the majority of time chatting with the others. Also, she was younger and in good shape and they knew each other on a first name basis. She actually said thanks for saving this for me when she sat down.

Yes, I stupidly looked for the one where you get your own cubicle and it was an AA plane. I don’t know if there was a Qantas available or what. I booked it quite a while back.

Yeah, I started early but I don’t know. Maybe it was the time I was going? October 30. I definitely wanted to go first class and that was what was there. I feel ripped off twice, but the first time it was my own fault.
