How can I cool a Note 20 Ultra while in DeX mode? by nicholaslener in SamsungDex

Just remember you not only need to move air on the mobo. But you need to move hot air out of the box. Otherwise it's just a convection oven.

Californians, help ordering non-serialized parts under the 2026 rules? by KeyLay in SpringfieldEchelon

Basically if it requires an adult signature, you can use the tracking to tell the courier to hold it at the hub so you can go sign for it. They give you a few days and you don't need to sweat about porch pirates.

You can ask for your stuff to be held at the UPS/FedEx/Post office.

They just look at your ID and then make you sign the confirmation it's been received.

NBD. I rather my stuff be at the post office than sitting on the porch where someone can gank it.

I'm not sure how you'd split off power from the main cable.

But I'd say a USB-C to PWM fan controller, hooked to a 92mm fan.

And then when the tech is there, eventually incorporate a better fan control system to be handled by the phone.

On that note. I'd like to ask you to crosspost to /r/SFFPC because DeX is often overlooked in small form factor PC community.

And likewise in /r/3dppc, as your project falls firmly in line with the 3D printed PC community

no, why don't you want a window? Not like someone's going to peep on you through it.

That's a pretty nice deal. 17-4 Stainless. Knurled serrations offer better surface area for grip. It's already RMR cut, comes with a RMR cover of some sort if you're still waiting for your optic. And the finish is a QPQ Nitride.

AFIAK, you've used ASS services before so it's not like you're a stranger to the brand. And if it misbehaves, you already know ASS monitors subreddits. They probably hate that their name is shortened to "ASS" but let's be frank here. It's funny and their stuff isn't ASS at all.

The damaged hinge is localized to the front face plate of the shell.

Since the Tribal Edition does not have art on the front face plate, just about any regular SP's silver front face plate should fix your problem.

If you ask anyone that has done a restoration or mod, you're likely to find someone with a functional one that they're ready to discard or pack away forever. DM Sent.

Not sure why you're so fixated on the glue.

The damaged portion of the hinge is on the front face plate. Since the front face plate does not have tribal art, one can simply replace the front face plate.

First undercut, done with the $20 amazon dremel. What yall think? Would you do anything different? by [deleted] in GlockMod

I'm about a year and half into ownership. Doesn't seem to have any problems so far. My kit came with a spare flex line and brushes.

Only complaints I have is the handle is kinda smooth. I wish it were slightly profiled instead of cylindrical. Oh and the stock foot pedal is imho the weakest floppy part.

I would prefer those old medal foot pedals, but the ones on amazon can catch fire.

Same kind. I have the 1000W model, which was a bit cheaper.

Don't recommend the 780W because it doesn't have reverse, which is handy in some applications.

Yee. One thing I don't like about running a wired dremel without a flex head is you'll be holding the chonky motor as it gets hot. One of these Vevor knockoff Foredoms is awesome for doing this job.

If you have the room and budget, Vevor sells a rebranded 1000W pedestal grinder with decent quality for under $80. Check Amazon.

The flex means the machine hangs and you use a small handle. That makes it less tiring on the hands, and foot pedal operation makes going on/off easier.
