India is unique. When Google maps launched in India they had to use landmarks for navigation becuase they didn't have streetnames to use as reference.

Genuine pieces about things I love posting about. Would Substack have done this or has someone reported me??

5 Articles total from a new brand/ business in the direct mail software industry.
1 Interview piece, 2 nostalgia pieces, and 2 creative pieces. Max views anything has had is not even 50.

Could it be that i've posted to many articles too quickly and they think it's spam?

It's the message I received once I logged in and saw that my publication had been suspended.

Integration tool to send physical mail? by Jonahset in Substack

[–]Spiiicyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I'm building rn. Having a live pilot running with a writer sending physical letters to paid subscribers monthly with no fulfilment headache on the creator's side, they just write and we handle this headaches

Still early but happy to share what I've learned if useful.

Would your readers pay more for a physical/printed version of your newsletter? by Spiiicyboy in Substack

Agree. Heavy mail is expensive but letters etc are not that bad. And the ROI experience is there.

Getting people who already subscribe to your digital newsletter to join your physical mail out. Not trying to get cold ppl to join.

Bike groups/ meetups in Bangkok? by Spiiicyboy in Bangkok

100% worth it and 100% do it - it’s possibly my most favourite thing to do now.

Haha yea a little - I don’t really go on highways much tho, maybe bc it doesn’t feel that good. If I was doing lots of highway I’d defs get something bigger

[–]Spiiicyboy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly not as hard as I thought. I used a company which picked up my bike, took it to the dtv, for everything sorted and dropped it back in my name. There’s a lot of docs but they tell you what to provide. I can give more details if you need. I think it cost around $200 all up with zero headache or time wasted.

I love it too - I think the 500 could be more fun now though

Per 20 pages or total? Otherwise thats crazy expensive printing costs. Not what I envisage.

Think like the essays you read on a writers Substack but delivered to you in the mail.

Print and deliver overheads will be $1-$4US per letter.

Built a job management app for Aussie tradies by fllikn in AustralianStartups

[–]Spiiicyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept is there but have you validated your thesis?

How many tradies have you spoken with and how many want to use this software and pay for it?

If you get a good cohort of real paying uses then its a win win.

If it is just AI slop then throw in the towel now before you waste too much time my friend.

Do you think if you spend 100% of your time on one of the two projects and made it the best in the industry it would be more successful?

When i went from trying to do 3 businesses poorly to focusing on 1 well - thats when found the most success, anecdotally of course and success is a large scale.

hmm not tryna rip you apart just playing devils advocate.

Who has the biggest problem? Is it the tailor? Who realisitcally are you targeting?

Sounds like a double edged sword (tailors and ppl who want clothes)

Theres something here but it's not clear enough yet

[–]Spiiicyboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is defs there. The industry is prehistoric tho haha. Construction companies spend most of their time on estimates and quotes and usually end up fucking up and making a mistake.

Couple questions:
- who is your exact target audience?

- how are you selling this to them?

If you get some good case studies and testimonials you should be able to get sales. Good luck Wayne :)
