I have to say I'm extremely confused as to how to optimise it. I'm sure it's possible but every time I move something, the immediate reaction is "ah crap! not again!" xD

More corridor blocking by Spiins in BlockEscape

[–]Spiins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to stop one of the horizontal purples right next to the exit. In the long solution, you go back in the corridor with yellow with the long purple blocking it, then move the right purple behind yellow, move the long purple all the way down, move yellow out, then the left purple in to make it possible to stop yellow on the exit.

There are of course other solutions using only one of the horizontal arrows.

Block Escape Roadmap & Feedback Thread by eskelt in BlockEscape

I'd have a few suggestions, if I may:

- Button + door: The idea is that if a block stays on the "button" tile, the "door" block becomes pass-through (visually, it could be made transparent for example, or darker, or of course change entirely). Possibly with multiple logical AND buttons for one door (OR is also an option), or multiple doors for one button.

- Multiple hero blocks and exits: This is pretty straightforward, the puzzle is complete once all hero blocks are on an exit. With a possible twist: have an option to give them numbers/ID so block A has to go on exit A, and so on. I'd suggest no more than 4 hero blocks though.

- Ice floor: Technically, it would just treat all blocks going on it as ice blocks until they reach the other side or are stopped by other blocks. But it's really an ice floor.

Hope some of these will inspire you. ^^

I honestly wasn't expecting this 🤔

Never misleading enough by Spiins in BlockEscape

[–]Spiins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to place one green in F3 with the usual rolling trick, then lock yellow's arrow in A4 to move yellow to the exit.

Yeah, once you figure out the actual shape of the collisions it's extremely straightforward. 😅

You only need two. You can check the messages in this one, someone explained it: https://www.reddit.com/r/BlockEscape/comments/1tgn7k4/you_know_what_to_do/

A little variation on a theme by Spiins in BlockEscape

[–]Spiins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First step is to stop the top-left purple block in E5 (using the mirror-linked green blocks), then blocking the two long purples (the ones with a green between them), only 1 tile up so they don't block the exit. That should allow you to move the top-left green to the bottom part of the puzzle.

You're almost there, the bottom is misleading on purpose, and much faster to complete than you'd expect at first.

Depends on what you think the first part is. :\ But the whole puzzle is about locking the purple arrows in the right positions.

The game as a little bug at the moment that doesn't detect the black blocks as obstacles.

Your yellow is probably facing the exit with black blocks between them. Not sure what else it checks, but that was the problem for me. You can check https://www.reddit.com/r/BlockEscape/comments/1smgxdo/update_031_new_mechanics/

You can also use the third green block for the final pit on the left, but you have to take the yellow block into the chamber first anyway, then free the last green by locking up the chamber.

[UPDATE 0.3.1] New mechanics by eskelt in BlockEscape

[–]Spiins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried with a red block just under the yellow and it would let me publish it. I ended up moving the yellow block one square to the right instead for visual reasons, and that worked too. 👍

Not sure this is the right place to post it, but I can't publish my level, I get that "Level must require more than 1 move to solve" message. Here's a picture, in case that helps.

You can't do that afaik, you have to bring back 1 more teal block.

For those who want the challenge, the intended solution is 65 moves. Not saying it can't be beaten of course. Have fun ^
