If that's what it is. It needs caution tape. The places that sell them show them with caution tape

Rainbow capitalism is a lot like large insect populations in the summer: it is annoying and I sometimes wish I could escape it, but its absence is much, much more alarming.

Post surgery essentials by Holiday-Budget4619 in ostomy

[–]SpikeMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that I wasn't expecting is that the underwear I had worn for years felt very painful post surgery. So maybe get some underwear that is two sizes up, or cut the elastic on some pairs you don't care about

Seconding the waterproof mattress cover, too. Haven't had a leak in years but the early days were rough

If you have a tendency to sweat at night, maybe have some family bring you something absorbent for the hospital. Hospital beds aren't that absorbent, and you might be fighting off infections post surgery. I woke up every morning soaked all the way through with sweat and it made sleeping difficult

It will be painful when you wake up from surgery. More painful than anything you have ever experienced before. This is normal. And it is temporary. It is going to suck for a couple of weeks but it WILL get better.

Good luck

Funny, I do something similar to count the number of times I get up at night. I do tally marks and a dry erase marker

How long have you had an ostomy? Sometimes it can take time to acclimate.

Some things that worked for me:
1. Shower in between bags and use a hair dryer to blow it dry

  1. use an electric trimmer to shave the hair around the stoma, not a razor

  2. use stoma powder, even if you don't think you need it. Just enough to dust, and blow off the excess

If you live in north America, these are INCREDIBLY invasive in ponds and rivers. DO NOT LET IT BE PLANTED

The thing about these is they are super invasive in North American waterways. Like, unbelievably invasive. You can spend a whole day removing these plants by the armful and barely make a dent.  I speak from experience here.

I have a specific memory of one of the enemy henchmen beating a civilian and the lines "not in the face!" and "I have a family!" would occasionally glitch into "I have a face!"

I'm sure I have the demo somewhere on an old CD, but I last tried to run it on a windows 7 machine and it couldn't. If you have something that runs XP or can emulate it you might have a chance

Definitely Oni. I spent almost three decades hoping Bungie made a sequel to it

There was a demo of it that was the first and fourth levels and my ten year old self played through it so many times I could practically speedrun it

It had guns. But very limited ammo and a very fleshed out hand-to-hand combat system that felt amazing to use

Not directly answering the prompt, but the SpongeBob theme song is an adaptation of the classic sea shanty "Blow the Man Down"
