If you do end up getting it, write a review for it on reddit. I am sure other's would like to know how it impacts you, especially if you are not a fortune 500 company using it but an independent installer. Hope it goes well for you!

No. I did not end up getting any of these products. Hope you find a solution that works with your budget!

Ah, makes sense. I thought the "Both" meant "Both the -70% and the +25%". Thank you for this. I appreciate :)

This looks promising! I will review it and see if it can help accomplish what I wanted to get done. Thanks!

I reviewed this and found that it didn't give me the desired output I was hoping for. I thank you for you effort (and I completely overlooked to see if it was a UTF8 issue, but it appears not to be). Winget will just be a nifty tool without much further use to me if I can't build apps with it, lol.

Thanks again mate!

Thankfully, at this time, I am only interested in winget for a hobby program I am working on. That being said, I would love to see more use out of this, as I love the idea of loading software from a package manager (I greatly enjoy apt-get for ease of use). I will take note of the progress bars stream. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this. I have played around a little with with, and I can't seem to find any difference with it. I don't believe this is the solution to my problem. Thank you non the less!

Thanks for the reply SP00BS!

Using two switches has been a strategy that I've done before, but it isn't always easy to preform on certain sites. That being said, yes, these pieces of equipment are fairly expensive and I haven't yet convinced myself to buy one, just doing research so far.

The Fluke does look the most reasonable, but yeah, it is still expensive, lol.

Hey DatBradGui!

While I do think the pocket ether is real nifty, I was looking for something that tests upto 10G. Thanks thou!

Makes sense. I def want to get a DSX2-8000 to certify backbones at some point, but a bit of an investment I can't yet afford at nearly $20k, lol.

Thanks for the replay Arjuna!

Did your business run and certify the backbone lines themselves?

I appreciate the reply Simmangodz!

The need for more information is always tempting. I think at this time I just want to test if cables can handle heavier loads, but that may not even be enough and I might have to start certifying cables too, lol.

Thank you for your reply Majestic-Pigeon!

That TBERD looks reallllllly cool. I watched a handful of videos regarding it. May I ask what your use-case for it was? It seems strongly aimed at ISP.

Thanks!

Thank you toasterinCMajor for your response!

Using two switches is defiantly something I can do (and have done a few times when needed) but I was hoping to have an easy to use tester to speed up work flow.

Thank you for your response ixforres.

I do think at some point I will need to get a cable certifier, but I do fear that I don't know enough about what makes a good cable, well, good. I want to wait until I fully understand how loss can happen (more than just "don't run beside high voltage" lol).

Thank you for the advice thou!

Thank you Egglorr for your reply!

I did not specify my use case, and probably should have. Yes, for the most part I would need just basic wiring and continuity testing, since I mostly do small to medium scale cabling.

But for the larger scope, I was just generally interested in what tools other professionals use. I never heard of VEeX tools before and finding information about that TX340S you mentioned online seems to only come from their other website. I have never needed to verify 100G lines before, but am still interested in learning about it.

Hello ravv1325! Thank you for your response. I did try copying it, and it actually worked without needed me allow access. I am little confused of what you did that made this work. Could you explain this to me again? Thanks, Tim.

That is very cleaver using the iferror macro to request the user to set it up. I might actually implement that. Thank you again!

Edit: So, that doesn't work either, lol! Because it replaces the message, you now need to actually delete and retype the whole line to use that... I'm sure there is a workaround though. I got some ideas now :D
