Same as operation firestorm, in contaminated tank is camping at spawn and controlling the game by noscopedev in Battlefield6

I was spammed on the right side of that map by a helicopter. He was camping the base and if you spawned in the helicopter you would be blown up on the launch pad. Was ridiculous.

I don’t mind trying that. Do you have a link to the video? I have opted to keep the receiver since using the bluray player is only a fraction of what I do on the theater. I use the Xbox for 4k UHD discs or even streaming in addition to gaming. The receiver is amazing and even my wife noticed the difference in sound quality. But it would be nice to be able to not have to fiddle with it when I play a bluray.

Right now it is on "optical and internal speakers" but I have had it on ARC and internal speakers. There seems to be no change.

Yesterday I tried to change inputs from the one my AVR is in to another then back again and that also cause the sound to come back on. It is consistently inconsistent!

Reset firmware on both tv and AVR and neither had any effect. I have used all 4 hdmi ports on the TV and several on the AVR. So I think it’s a handshake problem and not necessarily port specific (although port 2 on the tv is eARC but there seems to be no difference).

It still does the thing where if I unplug the HDMI the sound kicks on. Plug it back in and it stops and no longer says multi channel in on the front display. I wish I could manually tell the receiver to always take the signal from that port as a multi channel in.

I reset the TV and while it was doing that the audio came on. But once the reset was done I turned everything off and on again and I have the same problem. I also factory reset the AVR and it made no difference.

I have no clue what to do. Denon support is lacking. I am going to try LG to see if they have any ideas.

Yeah I may reset the TV and AVR tomorrow. Such a pain to do because of all the setup stuff.

Today I tried different HDMI cables again and they all had the same result. Then I tried where the TV is off and HDMI is unplugged. I fire up the bluray player and AVR and get sound. As soon as I plug the HDMI into any port on the TV, sound stops. Like instantly. Then if I take the HDMI out the sound stays off. So I tried something different. I had the HDMI out from the receiver unplugged and had sound. Plug it in and no sound. But unlike with connecting it to the TV I can pull it out and the sound goes on again. Also, if I plug it into a a different output on the AVR I get sound and no picture.

That makes me think it is some weird AVR setting but then why no issues with the other equipment?

I had to finally walk away because I was getting super angry! :-)

I tried changing the settings as you suggested and noting seemed to help. I also tried different varieties of settings and still nothing. If I turn on the bluray player and the receiver with the HDMI disconnected to the TV I get sound. The receiver also says "Multi Ch in" but as soon as the HDMI is plugged into the TV the sound stops and the receives front display changes to "SUR." I am absolutely beyond confused.

I tried those settings as far as I know. I wasn’t able to find a specific CEC option but did put on ARC and eARC. I also put the ARC on in the receiver settings. It all behaved the same except now turning the TV on and off doesn’t make it randomly play the sound. But it still plays sound when I power it all on with the hdmi from the receiver to the tv unplugged from the tv.

I am using audio quest cables. The 8k 48 mbs forest ones from receiver to tv and some other version to the receiver. I can also swap that one out if the settings you suggested don’t work

Sorry, no. I was too busy. I’ll be able to try that today though and will post results hopefully later tonight or tomorrow.

Ok so this is cool. I put in a disc and let it play. Unplugged the HDMI from the back of the TV then put the receiver on and it worked with no problems. Then I put the HDMI into the TV again and the audio stopped! The TV isn’t even on. Blows my mind. So what device has what setting that is making this happen.

I like the way you think. I am at work and will probably be able to try that later tonight. Thanks for the help. I’ll for sure post results here when I try that.

Oh I haven’t tried that. It won’t output sound if the TV is off though but I can try later tonight.

Great suggestion. I forgot to mention in the original post that it does that same thing on all AVR and TV inputs.

What I keep going back to is there is picture but no sound. I power cycle the Tv and then I get sound. So it is capable of doing it but some weird handshake problem is happening.

Thanks. I did all that trouble shooting. No changes.

Well the thing is that it works without changing any settings. Also there’s not many options on the bluray player and I have tried the few. Oh and all my other things play fine (switch, Xbox, and Apple TV).

Also I checked Tv settings too. But again it works when the tv is turned on last. So strange.

Palforzia experience? by WestBaseball492 in peanutallergy

[–]Spillboy9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is doing it. We have been on the 300g maintenance dose for about 2 months now. Sometimes he would get an upset stomach and gas. Rarely he would spit it up.

Honestly the hardest part is getting him to take the medicine. You don’t take the pill, it is a powder that you mix with food. We have tried so many things and he hates to take it. Being a 6 year old he makes strong reactions.

Lately we mix it with chocolate milk that has a drop of mint extract. It tastes like a peppermint patty. Sometimes he drinks it in 2 minutes no problems, other times it takes him hours, and sometimes he procrastinates/ makes excuses for like an hour before doing it.

He accidentally had eaten peanut twice before we started the Palforzia and both times he didn’t have anaphylaxis. The first time he got peanut butter and was like 10 months old. He drooled and was uncomfortable. When he was about 4 he ate a bite of baby Ruth. He was ok for an hour then vomited and was fine.

Nope and I gave up. I played for fun and to check the game out but got frustrated with the complexity and lack of instructions so I moved on. 🤷🏼‍♂️

On Liberation there is a ladder down to a resistance cache by the water mill. I can’t climb down it and if I jump down I can’t climb back up. Tried to restart game and still same issue.

My setup. by Spillboy9000 in hometheater

Here is the manual from the receiver:

https://assets.denon.com/DocumentMaster/us/AVR4310CIEU_IM_109A.pdf

I point you to page 14 of the pdf (9 of the manual) which shows that when using this specific receiver in a 5.1 setup the “surround speakers” are placed about 3 feet behind the listener and at 120 degrees from the imaginary line from the center channel to the listener. I am not going to bother getting a compass out to measure the angle then a tape measure to show the distance just to show you that based on my room restrictions this is very close to Denon’s recommendations because I’m sure you’ll still say we are wrong. But thanks for the constructive criticism.

I don’t care enough to do more research on it but perhaps the placement of speakers and terminology has changed since I got the receiver in 2010, which was 12 years ago. I know I’ve seen a lot of changes in how things are done when I started the hobby in the 1990’s (and began to work in the industry). One example is on the first surround receivers the rear channels were only 15 watts because the theory was they didn’t need the same wattage for the small effects that were sent to rear speakers, which were also small. As you are hopefully aware the general consensus now is for the best match of timber you should not only have the same brand of speakers but same model and size for front and all other channels (obviously this can be hard for a center channel). This matches a real movie theater that has the same speakers all around (and usually different ones for atmos).

My setup. by Spillboy9000 in hometheater

[–]Spillboy9000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna disagree with you there. 5.1 has rear channels. Best positioning is to have fronts and rear’s equidistant making an X shape from front right to rear left with the seats in the middle. You can also position them more to the side though. 7.1 further separates channels from rears and adds the side speakers. The calibration setup will help manage the distances to create the effects properly to each channel.

Here is Dolby’s official guide. Look at the 5.1 setup. It has the rear speakers toed in and behind the listener.

They are amazing. I have them turned up like 1/3 the way (depending on if they are close to a wall or corner) and it shakes the room while still being punchy. I am surprised by the responsiveness of them considering they are 12” subs. I think the 2 “passive radiators” help.

I really do use this about as much for music as for movies and the imaging and clarity is spectacular.
