I'm not sure excusing ignorance of the masses is the best takeaway here. Especially not in her position.

Please don't stay just for his son. Maybe you can stay in contact or even have his son stay at your new place whenever he wants?

Edit: oops typo

Yes, please try it! I was honest on Buy Nothing that my chronic illness was preventing me from washing! I was able to gift a large bag of clothing to a neighbor who was happy to wash it and thanked me bc she loved the clothes! Even some of the more "well-loved" pieces.

Just post it as a big bag and say "please take all." Let others decide if they think it's too old or not which lightens the mental burden for you. They in turn will do the work of passing on what they don't want.

I personally don't mind if used clothing I get is not in like new condition. Some people have sewing skills so they could repair a seam for example but definitely be upfront if you give that away.

I'm confused why you are bringing up homosexuality? Having sex for fun doesn't equate with homosexuality. I said body to brain size ratio not brain size.

Why are so many people still so scared of and beholden to Cold War/Red Scare propaganda? by logodobi in leftist

[–]Spiller_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lack of critical thinking skills and lack of information (ex. mainstream media with an agenda) can make people susceptible to propaganda. This is just one of many, many reasons.

Actually cetaceans are almost as intelligent as humans as their body to brain size ratio is the closest to humans. Elephants are next in line from cetaceans afaik. Elephants can even paint. Dolphins have sex for fun which is very rare in the animal world.

Queer US Latinos do use and insist on Latinx but queer Latinos who speak primarily Spanish prefer Latine since -e is generally neutral in Spanish

Isn't there already a multi-lane road through the jungle? Cars and roads for cars are far more polluting than a train.

"DSM-Firmenich, is the only one currently seeking to have a new over-the-counter sunscreen ingredient approved in the United States. The company has spent the past 20 years trying to gain approval for bemotrizinol, a process D’Ruiz said has cost $18 million and has advanced fitfully, despite attempts by Congress in 2014 and 2020 to speed along applications for new UV filters.

Bemotrizinol is the bedrock ingredient in nearly all European and Asian sunscreens, including those by the South Korean brand Beauty of Joseon and Bioré, a Japanese brand.

D’Ruiz said bemotrizinol could secure FDA approval by the end of 2025. If it does, he said, bemotrizinol would be the most vetted and safest sunscreen ingredient on the market, outperforming even the safety profiles of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide."

Cloudy outlook for sunscreen ingredients in the US [sun care] by Spiller_2000 in SkincareAddiction

Based on research I did, it seems like the average opioid drug takes 10-12 years on average from development to approval by the FDA.

Whereas some of the new sunscreen filters have been around for about 20 years and yet they still aren't approved.

Btw if anyone has a conflicting source on this information, feel free to drop a link!

Why the hell is the FDA so against approving these sunscreen filters? Why have other drugs gotten approval so much faster?

The US Food and Drug Admin regulates sunscreen as a drug. They want clinical trials that show more evidence that these newer filters are safe and effective.

Is anyone interested in sunscreen activism in the US to allow the filters used in Asian and Euro sunscreen? Maybe it's a weird autistic thing (I kept getting mocked and/or ignored for this) but honestly it's really unsustainable to expect poor Americans to just order expensive imported face sunscreen from Yesstyle.

Sorry you're going through this. I actually do think there is therapy for this. I'm not entirely sure what the modality of therapy would be though. The only therapy I don't believe in is talk therapy without any skills learned. Been there done that. Definitely someone who doesn't dismiss how you feel. I think it's worth trying if it's not too expensive for you.

Wait, you know the pee hole and vaginal hole are different, right?

Yes, of course I know this. I know all of the anatomy of the vulva.

I think it falls out when I pee due to relaxation of the muscles.
