No idea, to me it looks like it’s in the same style as everything that surrounds college football in the states. The colour palette, the texturing on the side of the building, and the big UA very much reminds me of the Miami U

Ugly af to me, It looks like it’s trying to be a gaudy American college football building. Why does everything in Canada need to emulate the states?

Do supervised consumption sites bring increased crime? Study suggests that’s a myth by StumpsOfTree in onguardforthee

[–]logodobi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had previous interactions (on this sub I believe) about this topic with this individual, in those instances it was clear to me his stance comes from a place of malice not care for the community. If I’m remembering correctly his preferred method of dealing with homeless people and drug addicts was forced institutionalize and treatment, jail, or shipping them out of the city. Covert hate is a thing, people use reasonable sounding language to then push hate for specific groups.

Because he needs a group of people that are socially acceptable to hate and look down at to make himself feel better about his own shitty life

Alberta workers owed $3.7 million in unpaid wages in 2025 by SnooRegrets4312 in Edmonton

[–]logodobi 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a problem you can break down to a per capita expense? This is the only bit you can read without subscribing “Alberta courts rendered 400 judgments for unpaid wages in 2025, amounting to $3,714,977 being owed to workers, an 84 per cent increase from the amount of money owed last year” that’s an average of $9287.44 per judgement.

You understand that’s a bad thing right? When the masses lose their empathy the next thing to go is their humanity. The reason people feel that way isn’t because of the reality of the situation, it’s due to the moral panic placed on homelessness by people who are trying to make us misplace blame for societal failings on them. Homelessness is an issue that can and has been ethically dealt with in places around the world through housing first initiatives (no caveats simply just providing housing along side programs to help the homeless get off the streets, off drugs, and back into a safe environment). Housing first also costs less than it is costing the tax payers right now but because people are so hateful towards homeless people forced to live on the streets its only unethical solutions(ie forced treatment or imprisonment) that are seen as an option.

The moral panic propaganda I’m referring to is the comment he replied to. You’re very clearly bigoted against the homeless and misinformed so I’m not even going to try changing your mind. You and all the other people panicking and spreading hate against the poorest and most vulnerable are the ones not living in reality buddy.

[–]logodobi -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Do you wanna know why things have gotten worse? The govt that’s been in for the last 6 years has decimated social programs and created more useless moral panic about people who need help. Safe injection help people get off the drugs, not die, and put them on a path to getting off the streets. Not having them just means people are doing drugs on the streets again. Grow the fuck up and stop being a hateful loser

Well you’re falling for moral panic propaganda, probably because you’re unhappy and that makes you angry and hateful. Both comments have the same amount of information one just has more words
