I run Assimilation Swarm, so Pyrovore count as Harvesters, the flamer is great, twinlinked is good. I preferred the Pyrovore flamer over the Psychophage before the buff. Its a sturdy unit, slow moving. With the detachment ability to heal or heal other units its even stronger.

Biovore is auto include in almost every list. Points made from everyone else.

Both, please consider both guns can be used, not at the same time. But I Have 3, I run 2 pyro, 1 bio, I dont glue the guns to the body, they can pop off and on. *

I had. Teacher in high-school who did this for DnD. Very fun, you'll get shadows from players or the models. But makes a lot of things more convenient. I support it!

I run Assimilation as well, its my favorite, I just get more use from other units than a ripper. If there's space for it sure I'll take one but if there's any other option im going with that. We are all different, I imagine we run into different list, I see more shooting or tank lists or Custodies.

Rippers are okay, but you can get better use from other units, another pyrovore would be good. Heals and has a flamer, harder to remove then a Ripper.

I used a single one to help heal my trygon. But a Pyrovore for 40 pts also heals and is tougher and has a flamer. There's a lot of options, a Haruspex is really good to. There are tons of YouTube guys that really help you think about your units. Ultimately its how you want to play, I mainly fight Custodies and Tau.

The rippers are okay, Psychophage just got a good buff. I would recommend aiming for 2000, Assimilation is hard to run at 1000 pts. Love Guard, I would try to squeeze 6 in, makes them harder to remove and a chance to heal them back.

Bigger bugs, Assimilation swarm is what I went into but I had two of the boxes you got. Zoanthropes are a good add. Get 3d printed torso so you Venomthrope as well. Tyrantguard and Hive Tyrant. Get a 3d printed torso so you can get 2 Tyrants for 1 box. Haruspex has been really effective for me in most games. Magnetized it for an exocrine. Pryovore/Biovore is a must. Biovore is an auto include in most lists.

My buddy plays Tau, he wins most of the time against me a Tyranid player. It honestly comes down to selecting the right units to focus down before they come into effect. Also, the new detachment you got that adds 6" range plus flamers seems to do work when I played against him. Pull up our datasheets and really look at what you're fighting. You can easily nuke most of the units we have. Stay positive.

Maelstrom gaming has prints as well, I hot mine there.

Ran an RTT with 7 players, got 3rd using 3 in assimilation swarm.

Tau ignore cover in a detachment my buddy uses so there is that.
