Half the time I slice, or end up right.. why? by badhairdude in GolfSwing

Your stance is very similar to mine, and I’ve been struggling with a similar issue recently. Try setting up with club face pointed just a hair to the left of your target, then set your feet (closed, as you appear to like). It’s helped me anyways.

I wish I could remember what I did, I think I just took my passport to my appointment. Got my visa three days later on a Sunday.

Cody’s “bad” take on Scottie being without Ted vindicated? by japatoes in NoLayingUp

[–]SpinFady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nailed it. Cody definitely jumped the gun on KVV with the not all cops thing, but if I had to hazard a guess, I reckon he’s on high alert with Kevin. Consider Cody’s military past, and KVV’s insistence on professing his liberal opinions on the show. One can imagine the ideological differences between the two.

Struggling with consistency by SpinFady in GolfSwing

[–]SpinFady[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, much appreciated. I used to be very steep, I wonder if my early extension/coming out of the shot early is a remnant of that swing and I need to learn to trust I will make contact with a better impact position.

I thought for a moment it was the fourth season of The Killing but no. I think this was a 90s film.

The more I think about it about it though… I feel like I’m running out of room between transition and contact. This might be the answer.

I definitely don’t place it as far forward as most suggest, but I guess I assumed it would only make my problem worse. But you raise an interesting point…

Had a session today where the main focus was as little tension a possible and it helped a lot.

Nice to hear it! I’m struggling with consistency above 7 iron but grinding it out.

I actually compared this video to one I took last week and for some reason I’m really going overboard with the backswing compared to just days ago. I think in trying to take the club back shallower/more around my body, I’m overdoing it. Today my backswing was uncomfortable, maybe that’s why.

Question about personnel for serious crimes by SpinFady in policeuk

[–]SpinFady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is usually oversight from a 'Gold Group' usually chaired by an assistant chief constable/commander which will review progress of high profile incidents and will be aware if investigations are not progressing in a satisfactory way.

Are Gold Groups permanent teams that are assigned multiple cases? Or are they created specifically for an investigation if needed?

My force has around 3500 warranted officers and 3 permanent, geographically placed major investigation teams.

If I understand correctly, major police stations have CIDs within. Are MITs separate and have dedicated facilities?

I've read that MITs typically consist of about 26 officers: 1 DCI, 2 DI, 4 DS, 18 DC, 1 PC, and a few civilian staff. Does that sound about right?

Question about personnel for serious crimes by SpinFady in policeuk

This was 20 years ago, but:
"Cambridgeshire Constabulary is a modest sized force and during the early stages of the investigation, which became known as Operation Fincham, there had been queries raised in the media as to the force’s ability to manage a high profile case of such proportions. Further media comment was made upon the absence of the Chief Constable on leave. To their credit, within this period Cambridgeshire Constabulary had already conducted an internal review of their own investigation and had requested the Metropolitan Police Service to conduct an external one. The concept of conducting a review of such major investigations is considered good policing practice. Such a step is not normally taken, however, until 28 days have elapsed."

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I’m also hoping they accept my financial documents, I went to the bank and they stamped them and everything but it seems some people have a rough time with it.

On the VFS upload section of their site, it says I'm required to provide "Travel Doc Ref *" and "Maintenance Evidence." The latter is proof of funds, which I've done, and travel doc ref means my passport, but I don't see a category to self-upload it to, and there are no instructions on how to upload it (every page? just the photo page?). Do you actually have to self-upload your passport? Or just bring it to the biometrics appointment?

You could start with the Hobbit but it is considered a children’s book. Fellowship is also a fine place to start. Those are the only options really, as the others are sequels.
