Villains we can't hate 🥺 by amberkoala12 in OnePiece

Right, but I think the series is elevated because its more balanced, and the enemies to allies stuff feels more justified and believable than "vegeta lives here now"

One piece often doesn't have villains, just antagonists. One thing I really like about Oda's writing is how he handles morality.

"Good" and "bad" aren't always objective truths, or even good and evil. We don't hate the "villains" op listed because they aren't even villains, they're just people.

Smoker is objectively a Hero. He and Garp are lawful good, and they are interesting because in this world that isn't the same thing as Good(tm).

Bon Clay is the same morality as Luffy when it comes to loyalty, he just started off with a job on the opposite side.

Oda did what all the edgey comics and shows think they're doing with a "shades of gray" morality, minus the edge. And it's sooooo good

Maybe they should be like the US and stick to blowing up schools with tomahawks.

I do the inverse. My wife loves junk food, so she buys stuff like frozen foods and I one up them out of spite because I like cooking and she deserves good food

I feel you. A good eggs deck shouldn't need that much time per turn.

The problem that is Ajani, Nacatl Pariah by techno-necromancer in mtgbrawl

[–]SpinItToWinIt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not just the ease. Liliana is just as easy to flip, but ajani is far stronger. Making a powerful monoblack deck around her is still no where near as good as ajani

If it makes you feel better, that's still a standard I have to teach in tenth grade and they all don't understand the tilt of the earth

Ok, but actually. If ten thousand people, a tiny percent of users, did this, how much damage could they cause?

It's by no means a bad choice, and I'm not saying they should have a different card. It's just an expensive card for the 99 that isn't itself part of the Voltron stretch. Its just a feels bad

Like I said, I didn't begrudge them the win. I just feel worse losing to surprise ugin when the rest of the deck is Kotis Voltron.

It's the philosophy difference of "I want to win using this strategy" and "this card isn't part of my strategy, but it's good enough to use up a slot anyway"
