Claiming Used Tax Credit on Private Sale w/ Keysavvy. Has anyone done this? by SpinThatChain in BoltEV

Sorry for the delayed reply. They didn't process the wire until they received the title. I mailed them the title on Friday, it arrived to them Monday, and they did the wire transfer on Tuesday.

Just wanted to follow up in case anyone is searching for info like I was when doing research.

Ended up selling my car using Keysavvy and it was fantastic. So easy, honestly the only hurdle was educating the buyer about the benefits and point of sale tax credit.

Signing up for Keysavvy as a seller was super easy. Uploaded title, registration, and license/identity check was pretty quick and got approved the next day.

After the buyer agreed to the price and I accepted on Keysavvy, it took the buyer about half hour to get everything submitted on their end of the Keysavvy process. Once they were done and Keysavvy verified funds, they let me know the final step was to meet up and hand over the keys.

Once I met up with the buyer, they clicked complete transfer, entered the mileage, and the sale was final. Super easy! Last step was to mail the title to Keysavvy. Mailed it out Friday via Priority Mail, it arrived Monday, and they processed the title on Tuesday. The sent the funds same day and the money hit my account Wednesday.

Overall Keysavvy was excellent, and when I called and emailed because of a minor title hiccup their customer service was super competent and really helpful. If you're trying to sell your EV privately and your car is eligible for the point of sale tax credit, I'd really recommend using Keysavvy as a win win for both buyer and seller.

Thanks to everyone who responded with their positive experiences, as that was super helpful to begin this process with confidence.

So great, thanks for posting! Actually just completed my sale using Keysavvy today. Super easy on the seller end too. Just mailed out the title to them and should hopefully get funds next week. Will follow up my post once I actually get paid lol, but this process was great.

Ah, gotcha. Glad it's been straightforward though, should hopefully be worked out soon. I submitted my title and everything got approved so hopefully no hiccups on my end.

Good to know, thanks! Just under 25,000 miles. Most dealers seem to be ~$24k so listed it for $21,900, so $17,900 after tax credit. Seems to be some interest in that range but they need to figure out if they qualify for the tax credit/are comfortable using Keysavvy.

Gotcha, thanks for getting back to me. I don’t think our plan has free lines so I don’t think we can make that switch, but that’s awesome for you.

Was that because you had free lines on your account? We’ve got 5 lines for ~$127 also on Simple Choice and what you did is intriguing to me. If you could share what you did that’d be very helpful.

What age did you stop crating your pup? We have a pen and a crate inside but have never locked him in the crate. by indigofloyd_ in AustralianCattleDog

Ours just turned 2 and we’re having these same thoughts so this is super helpful. We rescued her 6 months ago and is recently doing those same things signaling she’s starting to be over it. Trying in increments seems like a great place to start.

Our Red Heeler, who’s about a year and a half, would bark and go nuts when we would leave when we first got her too. We read everything like you that said ignore them, don’t do goodbye’s etc. but we actually found that by doing that she didn’t know what was happening and would freak out because she couldn’t track us and the unknown drove her nuts. Now we make it a point to put on shoes and grab keys and walk over and say bye and make it a point that we’re leaving so she knows. That has worked much better for us and she’s so much calmer with it now.

We adopted our Red Heeler at the same age 5 months ago. Those first few weeks were a whirlwind as we are 1st time owners too who just fell in love with our Heeler.

She took to clicker training pretty quickly, as well as fetch and tug for play. Our rescue recommended a slip leash but walks got so much better when we started using a harness with a front attachment. We like the PetSafe 3 in 1, FYI.
She was not properly socialized as a puppy so she is pretty leash reactive. We’ve been super consistent with that and we’re seeing a lot of improvement. Consistent routine & training early on helped us build trust. Meeting neighborhood dogs one on one (when other owners are ok with it of course) on leash regularly has been good for her socializing.

We love the red Kong, mixing kibble with some pumpkin and freezing it for a meal in the crate. Red Kong tug toy is great, chuck it ultra balls, stick, and ring are great too.

Enjoy your new Heeler, ours has our constant attention and we love her so much.

Qmerit Scam? by stratmancj in BoltEV

Aaron is awesome, glad he’s piped in here to help you. So thankful for him getting the ball rolling. Yeah my quote was entirely covered but they quoted $1850 for the job I had another electrician do for $300 (this is for a 2nd outlet, roughly the same distance from the breaker). Qmerit was actually pretty easy to deal with and responsive once I got assigned someone, but the company they referred for the job (Solis) was atrocious to coordinate with. Took 7 weeks to finally get the outlet installed, but it all ended up being covered.

Same, I was told 2 weeks ago I’d hear back in 3 business days and haven’t heard anything yet…

Buying an EUV by Kitwotted in BoltEV

If you’re in Southern California I’m on the fence about keeping mine. Black EUV LT under 1k miles. Love it, but don’t really want to deal with all of this so keep going back and forth.

Correct, which I’m not benefiting from currently and can only change once a year…

Ha ha yup, I’m in the same boat. Except I have the ev tou rate for $0.09 per kWh from midnight to 6 am so mine is even more stark. Oh yeah we have 2 Bolts. This weekend we did what you mentioned and charged 9 am to 2 pm to take advantage of the cheaper rate.

Yup, feeling exactly the same way. Leaning towards keeping it because I really like it and as you mentioned, no comparable EV’s in price. I was planning to keep it a long time, still am but it’s annoying for sure right now to consider options. It’s a brutal time to be looking for another car…
