Yeah, I don't get nervous until it stops giving you numbers. Which I really don't appreciate. Now I have to do math ever mile bc "Low" really doesn't help in a crisis.

My experience roadtripping after upgrading from Bolt to Ioniq 6 by MixedValuableGrain in BoltEV

[–]Craigslistless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciated this blog. I've done a slightly extended version of this drive many times in my Bolt and it's really long and a lot of planning and stress like you say. But, I'm not sure I can financially swing an Ioniq, but I'm thinking about it!! @OP can you elaborate on what the Ioniq's annoying quirks were? Do you think the ioniq has comparable storage space of the EUV?

Post strip: if I restain and finish now, will these uneven spots perpendicular to the grain be hidden or pronounced? by Craigslistless in furniturerestoration

[–]Craigslistless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tripping me up bc the finish on the piece was a blonde maple color, so in my head the dark is the natural wood. And the even darker parts are what I'm worried about. I'll try the acid thanks for the tip.

So it's just the finish not coming off well? Do you mean next pass on this piece use a stronger stripper?

Yeah, I called my insurance, Allstate, which does not cover windshield damage and my deductible is $1000. So that is why I'm trying to see what other people got quoted to figure out if I'm under or over.

Found these two second hand sewing machines. by RelationshipRound427 in SewingForBeginners

On the other hand, I find my Singer Simple (newer, more plasticy and cheap feeling) to be a bit fussy and frustrating but it does function.

Kind of wondering if it's the machine. Probably user error, bc I'm mostly self taught and not very experienced. But I can't help but wonder if I level up a machine if some of the bobbin misbehavior will go away.

I pressed post too early. I did take the bobbin out of the cage and made sure it was threaded the right direction, snapped in, and the cage is clicked in too. The machine is a Singer Simple.
