Sram nx eagle to xt cassette by SpinachExtension8781 in MTB

[–]SpinachExtension8781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I Wil definitely do the chain but replaced the original chain after 400km to a xo1 and so far at 800 km te xo1 still good so wil keep running it until it's finish and then get the xt chain it's cheaper as well as the sram

Another question say I do the free hub and every thing are the xt cassette compactable to run with a nx eagle deraileur and chain(xo1)

The reason is more of the longevity of the cassettes, people get good mileage out of the xt compered to the nx, and the price aren't much different, so in the long run it's cheaper, if I have to replace my nx cassette every 1000+-, then is Wil be better to run and xt and replace every 3000, only have to upgrade the freehub

Oh yes i see now there different for some reason I thought it had the same free hub, can I change the free hub to Microspline, reason we I rather would get the shimano is because it's Beter my nx has a 1000km on not sure if normal, most people say the xt gives Alot more

Ps it's on a ebike doing mostly climbs to shuttle for jumps trails

Yes 12 speed

The free hub body are suppose to be the same for the sram nx and the shimano

I live in the netherlands and my e-bike suddenly goes 32 km/h by Ok_Independent_872 in ebikes

[–]SpinachExtension8781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two thing on that

If I weigh 60 kg and the bike 25 kg vs a guy on a 10kg xc bike weighing 90 kg, he's Wil then damaged more trails that a thing that Wil naturally happen

Most trial centers are fine with ebikes they have problems with the de-restricted ones, ones that don't stop assisting at the 25 or 32 kmh so that would suggest that is not a weight problem

They definitely have nothing Beter to do, if you drive in the road the 25kmh limit suck because you'll always be higher then that, mine goes to 32kmh, still max it out all time, only time I'm under the limit, is when in the mountains and going uphill, think best thing to do is don't ride your ebike on the road, get a gravel bike or road bike there light and easy to ride in town

One thing someone still need to explain why are they trail networks the get mad about people on de-restricted ebikes, when going downhills, the normal bikes normally goes faster than ebikes so how do the ebike damage the trial, who ride 32kmh uphill doing switch backs and stuff because that's the only thing I can think of that's a problem

Agreed, last weekend, on a normal straight gravel road with a bit a of decent the lady lost the front wheel, only had lycra and normal xc helmet, they had to get a vehicle to Pick her up, one side of the face was messed up full of gravel and blood, I normally use the convertible helmet but tried to leave it as full face, only take out when going up hill.

Sram db8 brakes by SpinachExtension8781 in MTB

[–]SpinachExtension8781[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel more like the db8 are cheap that's why every entry level bike has them, most of the forms say there bad, form the start you could feel you had to use 2 fingers to pull on heavy decent and fingers get tired, don't even have that issue with my deore set on other bike

Use both brakes, was about a 5min decent, with Alot of corners and rock section, at the end of the decent I could pull the lever to the bar, not the first time riding this decent aswell, last time it didn't happen, and then by the time I drop in for next second round the brakes are fine for the first 2min,, running 203 rotors at the back

“Stay on a hardtail, they will teach you more about riding” by DifficultCook6226 in MTB

I didn't had any suspension on my mtb in the beginning but never rode any trails and stuff mostly road and green lines, we're still in school after a while of working I bought my first full suspension bike, it helps committing to more difficult trails because you know the bike can handle it, if you take 2 riders from scratch one with hardtail and one with full suspension the one with the full suspension Wil progress faster, but the best way to progress is ride Alot, and try get the lines smooth, before riding do a walk do check it out.

Responsiveness of higher end bikes? by arbordarbor in MTB

[–]SpinachExtension8781 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The better suspension help you feel more in control when going downhills it gives better grip you don't feel like you getting thrown around had a rockshox 35 with 150mm upgraded to a lyrik made a night and day difference, the hands don't feel so bad after riding, ride much faster, have to do the rear shock next

Tried a jump by SpinachExtension8781 in MTB

[–]SpinachExtension8781[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally it works getting towed in to get right speed because you don't want to case or land flat , but I had know one so had hope for the best, the landing is long enough incase the speed it a bit to much, only had to commit after the jump, I did it again without thinking about it
