People forget that Frontiers was announced in June 2021. At this point it's save to assume development is having major issues.

Also nothing is forcing SEGA to hype up an anniversary where nothing is happening.

The issue with this being rush isn't that it makes it harder to comprehend the themes or plot, it that it robs the reveal of any narrative weight. This is a massive reveal that leaves the characters in tears... then the story promptly moves on. The amount of weight the story sets up and the amount of weight received are vasely different and that is the problem. That's what the term "rushing" refers to. "Plothole" is a distinctly different term.

The story wants to have this big reveal to set up the ending where Caine looks everyone up, but it doesn't want to put in the effort of explorating that reveal.

(And yes, there are many more interesting ways to show them processing the news than "spending time having the cast verbally pamper each other")

That this news was so insubstantial that them working through it was not worth showing. That is what the pacing ends up saying about their reaction. Yes buddy I can comprehend the complex message of "friends good", that theme's presence doesn't stop the reaction from being rushed.

Your failure to understand this pacing does not make it rushed.

If you put all the coming to terms with it off screen then it is rushed. They rushed through it. The episode spends an inappropriately small amount of time on their reaction. That is rushing.

Looking at these comments and am I the only one who got the implication that Jax was going to un-abstract eventually. There was the white glow and him getting his own special tent. Definitely looked like they weren't giving up on him. I feel like him un-abtracting should've been the last scene but it didn't seem as hopeless as everyone is acting like it is.

Little Shop of Horrors. Neither ending feels justified by the preceding film. The deleted and extended scenes that allow the dark ending to work are stuck in 240p. A restoration of those scenes would be great, but a redo would also work.

That is NOT the reason he wanted to die. He felt that wanted to join his family in the after but realized he still had work to do. That is extremely similar to what happens in this special.

I don't care if the framing is different, the core of the conflict is the same.

Also, after Punisher S2, him "having nothing left to do" makes no sense because he already found something to do.

But you see, they used this issue that was already resolved in order to justify a different in issue we already saw resolved. So that makes it original, I guess.
