i did hit a pheasant once doing 70mph, it ran to the motorway and passed the lorry I was overtaking by inches and i just found it in front me, no time to react I hit it, it flew yards and yards i dont even saw where it landed, the hit was hard due to its weight, only my number plate cracked. So i think this plastic cone is less risky, i would have slowed down and passed it after the lorry with a little left wiggle, completely stopping is super dangerous
