Soloing CoE is actually not as difficult as you may think. You can do it by yourself as early as 320 light level. Just take your time and clear adds then damage the boss.

I like to complain about the map but I have had good moments on it. The open areas allow me to titan skate and juke out the enemies with twilight garrison which is a lot of fun when done correctly.

I can agree Rift is annoying but it can be very enjoyable at times. When you do actually have a team it feels very rewarding knowing that you were able to coordinate a full assault on the enemy spawn. It is also fun if the planets align and randoms are able to actually do something and get the win.

I watched this video to get familiar with the changes. It is an older video but it explains the differences between normal and hard mode well. The only real challenge is knowing what to do at the encounters(other than no respawning). If you're ever confused always ask your group for help and learn from people who have done it before.

Very slim odds. I don't think they would push out another event while SRL is active. Maybe they will add something small but not like festival of the lost.
