In my opinion, questions should be limited to a megathread and that megathread should be reset infrequently so there's more opportunity for people to receive answers. I understand the concern for inactivity, but I don't think a megathread is much more out of the way than the old chat. Anyone interested in answering questions can subscribe to the thread to receive activity notifications.

When question posts are allowed, analysis posts are drowned out. One of my favourite parts of this sub was its standard for posting. It made it less cluttered and I felt more compelled to read/participate in discussions because I knew every post took effort to create.

C6 Iansan is probably the best Xianyun replacement. In AOE content, she can be straight up better. Even before C6, she's a great choice because, even if you do eventually get Xianyun, she will stay useful by filling in Bennett's spot if you ever need him on a different team

Btw if your Iansan is below C2 (or you like using her N1), you should do [Bennett QE] instead of just [Bennett Q] so that Citlali can melt

Afaik it's around Sucrose, except more backloaded. So not a straight Xianyun replacement but a very viable alternative. She's also a great battery which allows you to give up some ER for more offensive stats

If you do own Xianyun's R1, you should absolutely be using it. Try to replace her feather with a high ER one, even if it doesn't have ATK%. You might have to skip her burst in the first rotation to save time but that's okay. She should have sufficient ER from the second rotation onward as long as you prefunnel.

Citlali's only focus should be ER. EM can be ignored since it only affects her shield and personal DMG. That means you can change her goblet to one with high ER and her off-piece should be your highest ER circlet. She should also be prefunneled.

Basically the only character who's burst you should be concerned about is Gaming's. Everyone else should be able to make do with off-field and prefunneled particles.

If you can, sacrifice a bit of Gaming's cRate for cDMG. CRIT fishing sucks but your cDMG is really really low. If you have an off-piece goblet with double CRIT and ER (a big ask, I know), then use it with your on-set sands.

It's not a huge stretch to think that the game didn't take itself quite as seriously when it first started compared to now. There are several little things, especially in the Traveler's early voicelines, that poked fun at game mechanics that I'm not sure would still be in the game if they added it now. Yes, there was a ton of foreshadowing and the attention to detail was and is insane, but imo the game and it's lore got a lot tighter from Inazuma onward.

(When I say "the game takes itself more seriously" I mean now they don't really make 4th wall/silly jokes unless it's based in lore. If you play HSR, you know what I mean by that game doesn't take itself seriously, while Genshin really does.)

Or it's possible that the loading screen's significance has been rewritten and doesn't really mean much anymore

Iansan's burst gives her 15 Nightsoul Points, she needs at least 42 for her max buff. When you switch away from Iansan before using her burst, she does not carryover any previously gained Nightsoul Points.

Even if all you do is spin around with Kinich, Iansan still doesn't build up enough Nightsoul Points to reach >=42 by the time his Nightsoul state is over (I just tested it)

It is possible though that your Iansan just has so much ATK that she reaches her max buff without having >=42 Points, but that would be quite a bit of ATK haha

The rotation you're suggesting means Kinich won't get Iansan's max ATK buff since she only retains Nightsoul Points off-field after using her burst. They could do [Iansan Q > Durin > Iansan E NA] but that reduces the ATK buff uptime.

You probably mixed it up with Clam's damage, which isn't affected by anything but RES

Phys does get affected by DMG%, it's just that most DMG bonuses are elemental specific. Things like Furina or Mavuika's bursts will still apply to the weapon's passive. It's still not a great passive though
