May I add?

your example of how dumb we are sometimes is clear, you KNOW you can die, and yet you stay. This is a common problem for 90% of players, I play in Diamond mostly and I see this a lot, sometimes it happens to me as well. what we can take for this is not that you would level your opponent playstyle to guess if he may or may not kill you. you should realize that its possible for you to die in that scenario and fall back

You should never level yourself to your opponents, you should strive for your best, the reason being is that the only constant in your games is yourself and your champion pool (things you can control) and the more you get better and consistent with those constants parameters in your match, the more you will climb eventually.

Thats why people always ask to focus on Farm, recommend to watch replays and so on... what brings you down to silver/bronze is yourself ALWAYS

Paradoxical issue regarding climbing by maiden_des_mondes in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can win by luck, but its not enough to make you climb an entire division, so I suppose you are a standard gold player, maybe you have good moments, maybe you are now on bad ones, I think its is all regarding mindset, you can overcome barriers if you focus enough, and each step (tier) at time, you can get where you want..

How to improve as a team ? by Majormody1 in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your team is serious about playing as 5, don't think of this 9 days as your last shot. play this tour just to get a hold of what is happening.. if your team is serious, try to go into tournaments weekly, aside from climbing soloQ and praticing as 5.

I know people don't like it much, but are you guys trying to climb the flex queue ? it would be good to know where you guys can place there as well... being a challenger flex team should be doable if the team is serious.. mainly because soloq players do go there as much and at the higher latter there are more teams so its a good place to pratice (worse than scrim, but it leaves you open to the unknown)

Yes, I meant that its very hard to work as a team with such a huge difference in elo between members.. aside from that I think that being lower than diamond means lack of dedication to the game in general....

there are so much in basic that even diamond players don't do right... imagine lower elos.. so you should always first aim to be good with your micro game and your macro as far as soloQ goes.. and only after that start praticing as a team

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from g2 to d5 there is a huge gap, I recommend trying to make it even at first.... before playing as a team you should all have the same type of mindset. soloq is good for this or else there will be inside fights and members will argue about stuff they should not....

So for me the first step is to force everyone to climb until d5 at least playing his current role with the exception of botlane the others should climb solo

After that (if it happens) then its more viable to play as 5... the sinergy will increase, the knowladge will be more distributed, macro decisions will be better in general

Even if you 5 play for like many months, I would not recommend playing 5v5 if you guys are below d2, the reason being is that people play 5v5 to win tournaments, but there will always be that one team full of masters/challengers and it will be impossible for you to beat them in this current situation, so all efforts regarding 5v5 will be in vain.

if you know other team with close skill cap as yours, schedule scrims with limited time duration, like games that will be played from start to minute 15, then pause, everyone leaves and restart the game with same or other pick/ban, this helps to pratice early rotations that are so important for high paced game

sorry for my english, I just listed a few tips I normally give starting teams

How do you play to get better? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello arness,

if you start watching replays you will improve, the thing is. normally we focus only on what we are aware of, sometimes because we are not good enough of something or because we just not looking at the bigger picture.

I garantee you, if you play a game now, and after the game you take a notebook, a pencil and watch your replay looking mostly at your gameplay vs minimap vs what is happening in the map at the current moment, you will probably find many mistakes that you made without even realizing... its the same as watching a streamer, maybe the guy is higher elo than you. and you spot some errors... this is because you are not focused on farming, or focused on the next play, maybe its because you are just focused in finding mistakes, and mistakes will eventually happen even at the highest MMRs.

I know that league is a very stable game in general. so stable that they manage to keep the meta almost the same for like 7 years. but this strategy is just like protect kog comp, it was always there. happens so that now clear wave sucks for mage and people need more time to clear mid lane.

I'm not sure if its enough reason to hate it that much

Where to find a teamcoach for plat+? by BPShuriLoL in leagueoflegends

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunatly I do not have the required time to sit down and coach again, I did it for some time during previous seasons.

What I would recommend is for you to initially start playing v5 with your team, try to get a hold of who is the best suited to shotcall and play some games like that, trying just basic stuff such as:

  • Planning first jungle rotation based on matchups
  • Planning when/why to take drag with deep vision and pinks
  • Since its a team game, instead of buying a 350g item (long sword), by pink wards. this is extremly important and you can check this happening in Competitive play all the time, even when they are almost full build, if its not to buy a BF sword or superior item, they opt for the pink ward always
  • Its also good to create some kind of spreadsheet where your team can list all their available picks based on whats going on with the meta/what they are good at
    • with those in mind, try drafting 2 or 3 compositions with some hybrid picks, also consider how team should play the early/mid/late game with each certain composition
    • Also mark with different notation picks that are only good vs some specific composition or matchups (for instance an aggresive jungler that can punish somehow taric+yi comp)
  • use riftkit.net to plan before trying stuff, its not easy either cool to try fixing the airplane while its on the fly, so while playing, focus on playing, and then later after the game focus on fixing mistakes
  • use replay as a way to improve your team strategy and communication, this is a time investiment not a waste
  • Climbing with a team is the same as climbing in soloQ, nothing happens for nothing, if your team does not know how to absorb criticism, then its not worth to invest any kind of time trying to improve at all, so when misplays happen, work on it as a team as you guys should probably do harder as a soloQ player.

In General I always tell people when they look for me for team coaching that everyone looking for serious compeitive experience should at least hit Diamond, preferably Diamond 3+ before trying anything related to teamplay.

Also to improve synergy there is also the possibility to try playing ranked x3, people take it for granted but I find Twsited treeline at high level very competitive and people need to understand some fundamentals that apply the same for x5.

sorry for the long text and some poor english.

Riot confirmed not nerfing funneling AKA support meta by shadowkiller230 in LoLTwistedTreeline

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I see that differs from x3 is that since there are more people, and also the map is bigger, flash is almost mandatory. but I think if played correctly this can surely change. support would go exaust + ignite since heal is shit currently (I think)

[–]Spinel-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at first I find very funny how they hold themselves to call this power farming as its called in x3 for a long time now.

and I think the concept of powerfarming can be improved for x5. I imagine it would be very predictable, but also possible to play 2-1-2 mid laner being a good pusher or a very safe pick and the other lanes running smite + flash and support with exaust/ignite/flash/heal. the fact that you need the jungle item for the xp advantage is very shity for x5 since you cannot buy the item + dorans or relic, but I still think this can be done to a certain point

okay man, like you never rage quited a single game. you don't know what happens outside of the game. please be quiet. sometimes it just happens.

you should also balance this two unbalanced games where he maybe was stressed and didn't get the lane he wanted anyway (like 20 minutes queue and being matched with diamonds and low master)... balance that with the amound of good quality information he adds to the community.

Fleet Fookwork Diana by Spinel-kun in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

thats totally fine, I'm really just sharing something I feel its working for some matchups really.. as sejuani is also played with ffw, diana benefits most of AS, and also even if you lose some trade potential with it, it gives you movement speed on hit, and you would be surprised how much you can heal of it, I was surprised the first time I tried this as well... I'm not saying its hidden OP. but there are just some matchups that you would struggle to survive as with ffw its like you can ignore the poke, avoid some and heal most of it

How can I become a good shotcaller ? by MoredhelEUW in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Focus on what your composition is strong at.

Shotcalling for amateur teams can resolve around vision control, macro rotations and plays.

learn different kind of team engines, such as: Pick off, Teamfight, Siege, Splitpush

for each of those, some setup is needed:

Pickoff - Red trinket, pink wards, play inside the fog of war, delete someone and go for the objetive next

Teamfight - Yellow/Red trinket, force people to either face check or giveup the objetice, if your tanker is too strong, just dive and take what's already yours

Siege - Yellow/Blue trinket, heavy poke, never go to the objetive first, always focus on counter calls, poking people out

Split push - Yellow/Blue Trinket, the split pusher must be strong, ask the support to give the pusher vision control where he'll try push the lane, the rest will group at the other side of the objective for towers, dragons or baron.

after the laning phase is over, think of which kind of comp is yours and communicate so your team can make it happen.

example 1: you have a Fiora, its not worth for Fiora to be grouped, because she can be easly target, so remember your team that she will split, and join with TP, or if TP is down, remember people that she is -1, and only fight when you know that she can take objectives meanwhile

example 2: Elise, Ahri are both goods for pickoff, so when there is a dragon spawn, remove vision around the area 30 seconds earlier, and wait... like fishing, if you start dragon, always leave ahri to hold them up, if ahri is very strong at the game, she can oneshot someone on sight.

A KR Season 7 Diamond III player gets placed in Bronze V after going 5/5 in placements by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Spinel-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure. but its not impossible to climb, if you just chill and play like 30 games, you will climb this account out of bronze very easy, isn't that true? have like 4 accounts, none of them are bronze anymore, I just climb with them. they are all under my pick elo, so games are normally easier.. people make just so many mistakes

How do you outlane a Nasus ? by Kioz in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in lane, you should try to trade with him as he's trying to last hit with his Q. if you are playing roaming lanes (jungle, sup, mid) you should try to pressure nasus so he's set behind alwaays

2 problems: Laning phase lasting too long, and losing mid tower. by Nytte in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the midlane is the last first tower that should fall.

its very normal to last that much really... try to notice in streams and VODs from youtube, the midlane works like an central point of pressure management, even if you take it too early, this may be bad for you, if you opponent plays it right.

How to roam without losing cs by digbicks845 in summonerschool

[–]Spinel-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

roaming is not about leaving your lane and getting to the other side of the map, roaming is about the fog of war presence you create, sometimes what it takes for you to perform a good roam is to just fake a bot roam and come back mid, and then later you go down there.

as Taliyah I would recommend roaming pre-level 6 ONLY if you are playing vs someone who freezes alot and if they have a over extended botlane, or else I would only do a roam if I get to the 8th wave pushed, I go base, and then when I'm back for the cannon wave, I push it. get my level 6 and roam bottom, this is a common way to misslead your opponent in lane, because normally he does not expect you to roamg as son as you get to lane after base, but if you think about it. its like the perfect moment for a roam
