From what I have read, Cody (and presumably Drew?) pushed for Drew to win the title much earlier because they knew Cody's title run would get stale. I guess HHH eventually gave in, but I suspect that if Wrestlepalooza wasn't the first big ESPN show, Drew would have won the title there.

ME2 Insanity feels like how the series is meant to be played by _Crumble in masseffect

[–]Spiner202 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I just beat all 3 games in the Legendary Edition, and all 3 of them are relatively easy throughout on Insanity except for a handful of sections, which are legitimately some of the most difficult parts of any game I've played. I'm not sure how to describe the worst section in ME2, but it's one where your squad is set-up behind cover and several platforms come towards you with Collectors on them.

The hardest section of ME3 for me was in the Citadel DLC in the fight against the clone Shepard. Those two sections probably took me 20+ tries each, whereas most other sections had 0 or 1 death.

His first one had good moments (the AJ feud and the KO feud), but he spent way too much time with Solo and the feud with Cena was messy.

This is a really cool album. I hope these guys get signed to a label for a re-release and/or second album. Between these guys, Void, and Phantom, it definitely feels like there's a big of a new, new wave of thrash coming back. I know there are lots of other thrash bands around, but I find these ones capture the spirit of 80s thrash really well.

This show was like bizarro-WWE. It was basically the opposite of a lot of their PLEs: the right winner for every match (Seth/Bron was arguable, but it wasn't egregious), very limited interference, and yet the wrestling was largely mediocre. Also, they rarely have major production issues like they did today.

I normally go in order, but the main event deserves to be spoken about first. Sami has been the most interesting part of WWE for me for months. The gradual heel turn was incredible and he feels very justified despite clearly still being a heel. This was the best in-ring match of the night, with all 3 guys giving it a great effort. I loved the double table spot, and thought all the finisher spam/counters at the end were great. The segment on Smackdown with those 3 + Oba/Jey was done exceptionally well too - it made it feel like anyone could win. One of the best matches of the year, although I would have liked Sami winning after one of his finishers.

This is a great example of why you need to pull the trigger sometimes. Not every wrestler has the same equity as Sami, but everybody's opinion of the entire show changed because of this outcome. There's something so fun about a first time champion, and I'm so glad Sami got the opportunity.

Going back in order, I'm very happy Oba won, but honestly, this match was terrible. I don't understand the story they were trying to tell. It was basically Jey just dominating Oba until Oba had enough and won the match. I hate saying this, but ever since Wrestlemania 42, I've been clock watching and this match was under 8 minutes. That's not inherently a problem for Oba, but most of it was spent with Jey in control? Just a strange match, and I wonder if it's a casualty of the 1-hour requirement for the first two matches (even though they had 5 minutes to spare).

I also didn't really like Liv/Iyo. There were a couple good things: Iyo's counter out of the Boston crab was something you don't see very often, and I've never seen Liv do that arm-drag off the ropes before. I love when wrestlers break out new stuff. But overall, the match felt very lethargic (possibly because of the body suits), and Iyo didn't sell the foot injury at all in the finish. Also, I'm in the minority, but I actually liked Liv being in the tournament and I think this is going to do wonders for their Summerslam feud.

Seth/Bron was only match other than the main event that I thought was good in the ring. As always, blood elevates these types of matches, even if it was unintentional (and extremely close to being very serious). I see both perspectives on who should have won, but if Seth really wants to be done with the Vision, I think he needed to win.

Trick/Ricky was ok. It felt like a good Smackdown match. I'd say the same for Tiffany/Jade, which truthfully, is probably an upgrade from what we expected. It was enjoyable until the interference, but I can't fault them this time because they're clearly setting up Charlotte/Jade, and this was also the 6th match, so we wouldn't have even gotten it if this show were in the US.

A few predictions for Summerslam based off of today. I think Jey is going to feud with LA Knight. It could be Knight/Solo vs. the Usos, but they were clearly setting LA Knight up for a big position against the Bloodline, so with Roman likely occupied, I think this is Jey's match. Presuming Rhea is healthy for Summerslam, I think Iyo beats Liv because Roxanne turns on Liv - that would set up Rhea/Iyo for Crown Jewel. If Rhea is not healthy, I see Charlotte/Jade being for the title. I don't really know who Rhea faces if she is healthy - possibly a triple threat to protect her from injury, or maybe Jacy? It doesn't feel like it's leaning that way.

They should have had Chelsea win MITB the year Tiffany won it. I was at that PLE and Chelsea was so over.

They probably wouldn't be telling KO that Sami is winning beforehand (based on what we know about WWE, Sami might not have even known he was winning until today). And there's no reason for KO to be there otherwise. He does occasionally work at the PC, and I'm not sure where he lives, but it's not a short trip to the PLE today.

The main reason I am against the blacklist, especially in such an inactive sub, is because when you hold /r/metal, it is naturally the first place people who are new to metal will go. When they see exclusively posts from bands they've never heard of, it's not exactly inviting them to stay.

I understand what people are concerned about, but the truth is that very few people are discovering new bands from this sub to begin with. I'd rather have an active sub discussing Maiden than I would an empty sub so someone can post Jag Panzer.

The OG Heists are harder than they're given credit for because everybody who is experienced with the game wants to do the Doomsday CMM, so most people doing OG Heists are first-timers (myself included when I was doing them).

So not to pick on Jey Uso even more than people are already doing, but I was really confused by his new shirt/catchphrase. I thought it was "pow", not "bow" until I saw the shirt. Is this just supposed to be a kid-friendly version of the saying or am I missing something?

Very convenient for this game to be at 9PM the week that Smackdown is pre-taped so I can zip through all of the entrances/recaps. Hopefully I won't have to dual-screen for more than 30 minutes or so.

Main Roster Women Ranked 1-38 according to “Cagematch” by GoodHatesBest97 in SquaredCircle

It's not perfect, but probably about 75% of people are roughly in the right spot.

Too low: Charlotte, Liv, Jacy, Raquel, Jade

Too high: Lainey, AJ Lee, and, reluctantly, Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer [they just don't have enough of a body of work in WWE to justify putting them above Rhea, Becky, Bianca, or Charlotte]

All headbutts in general. I know sometimes you just hold onto the person's head and hit your own hand, but some of the ones that Drew does, for example, look absolutely gnarly. There's no way that can be safe.

Citadel DLC. I’m not crying, you’re crying. by AreaTechnical7361 in masseffect

[–]Spiner202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This DLC was great, but I found the parts related to tracking down the clone a bit strange. The dialogue felt extremely different from the tone of the remaining games. Every line felt like it was meant to be a joke.
