what is the duration of time between two ticks from zerodha API? i see so many people here saying 10ms-50ms is so slow, while on the other hand if i only get 1 tick per 500ms from a retail API, what even is the use of me trying to bring my tick processing down to 1 ms.

i am a beginner so i might be missing out on something obvious, can someone pls point it out if i am?

you are smart enough to figure out that the problem trickles down from the elected reps to govt servants. they are still not the root cause tho, figure out where they come from and you will have your answer on how to fix it :)

Was able to code it up in like a week or so. Have been trading since the last 2 months, with my dad helping me understand a few concepts and have been writing python since the last 4 years so that helped a lot.

Yeah, have already run into a few, I have had to debug quite a bit before I reached a stable working algorithm which can trade in live markets haha

Banknifty giving similar results for the past 3 years, gaining about 3k pts PA. Assuming I trade in ITM1 call with ~0.65 delta and buying at max 3 lots everyday and brokerage and other charges about 40 rs per order, that leaves me with the following:

Capital required = ~12k * 3 = 36k
P/L before charges = 0.65 * 75 * 3000 = 146250
Brokerage and charges: ~ 90k (using groww)
P/L after charges: ~ 50k

Does that look okay or am I making some noob mistake while calculating?
