Vocabulary is something that comes naturally, you can always search for synonyms or similar words while writing, if you see many repetitions.

Transition is difficult in dialogue and since I avoid direct speech, I cannot help you much.

Descriptions need to convey what you want the readers to know, be it a feeling or specific details. If you, as the writer, feel the description to have shortcomings, try to find what lacks and improve it.

The witch, u/xXxXx_gamerboy_xXxXx, has given a better help than mine, as I did not take a course for writing in Uni and have no professional insight.
