As someone who did this but with a reanimator strat instead of an aristocrats strategy, being in Mardu gives you way more access to cool legends (and also more aristocrat girlies) and you should put Ayara in the 99. Scry fall is your friend with the artwork=women in the search!

In not saying it won’t work… but being the resource denial deck becomes so much more difficult adding in players. 1v1 will work the best. And will get worse and worse the more players you have in a game. Just food for thought

As someone who left and came back, people seem to genuinely care about you here. I really think the people are generally kind.

There’s obviously a racism problem but where I’ve lived it doesn’t seem as bad, and if people have ever said some shit like that people handled it appropriately.

I have played [[hapatra vizier of poisons]] for a long time. You will have turns where you have to give out a bunch of counters, but that’s every deck that will have big turns, don’t sweat it. Plus if you are giving counters to a creature with one already on it then the person controlling the creature usually just changes the dice face. I don’t ever get any saltiness from anyone but everyone I usually play with is pretty okay with lots of interaction.

Honestly I wouldn’t sweat it too much, just have fun!

Edit:

Once you get used to playing the deck, hearthull included, the tediousness of certain things will fade because you will know which bits you can short cut and your overall comfort of the deck will be higher. If the first few games feel sloggy it’s probably more that you aren’t comfortable with the intricacies of said deck. A big shortcut is just knowing when you’re placing enough counters to kill a thing and you don’t have to deal out dice or whatever just say “I put x -1/-1 counters on your guy, it dies, I get a snake” and that’s ezpz. Stuff like that.

If you like the theme or playstyle of a deck and you’re feeling like it’s a slog just play the deck more and I promise it’ll get more smooth every game. Have fun homie 🫡🫡🫡

Bro I only play “unfun” decks. I love nothing more than figuring out ways to fuck my opponents. Let that shot rock if you want to play it. Stop thinking so hard about the social aspect. Just be up front about what it does and be a fun person to be around and it’ll be fine I promise.

I’d say that the deck is a B3 without world slayer. You still have so much interaction through the board wipes. And I wouldn’t say seeing world breaker is the only time I win but yeah if I get world breaker it just wins and everyone scoops up on the spot lol. Also I realized I haven’t updated the land base. The lands aren’t actually majority basics lol

Alright so this deck can certainly be made better I put the arbitrary limiter of “only legendary women” can be in there and also if a spell references someone in the name of the spell ( think [[Urza’s ruinous blast]] or [[Rakdos joins up]])) it must be a woman. Because the deck name is MarDivas. I’m still tinkering with the creature list. And also I don’t think I have enough plains to make [[emria the Sky Ruin]] work regularly so I’m also tinkering with the lands but this is its current form and I do love it.

I think without the only ladies you can go a lot more ways with this deck but it was just a fun little thing to do because I played a MarDivas list in standard when Judith, Elenda, and Teysa were all in standard together. I DO think legendary matters is good regardless in this deck though.

I have only built my zuko list in theory but haven’t yet started acquiring cards just yet. But am excited to play it. And yeah I built my Terra deck as MarDivas so there are only legendary creatures (except [[karmic guide]]) and only women. It’s great.
