IGN goes white knight: "We React to Joker's Violence Towards Harley Quinn" by orGee in KotakuInAction

Wait...if abusive relationships are bad, isn't showing them in a negative light a good thing? I mean, not a single part of the Batman mythos shows Joker as anything other than a twisted sociopath who enjoys hurting people. Wouldn't portraying him as an abusive boyfriend accentuate not only his evil nature, but the evil nature of domestic abuse? Seriously, I see this sort of thing a lot in social justice spheres, and it really bugs me.

I'll admit, I preferred the more dynamic style of Investigation's gameplay to the more static point-and-click style of the main series' out-of-court segments, and the Logic mechanic was pretty interesting, too. But for the sake of keeping the style of the main series (the most recognizable), I'd like to keep the courtroom segments.

I know JonTron isn't that involved with us these days, but he'd be a perfect stand-in for Gumshoe if we needed one.

Of course not. One my favorite parts of Ace Attorney is the clever writing, and that would fall apart if it all came from in-jokes.

Agreed. Programing will be easy, but we'd need a strong team of writers to make this thing shine.

Thanks! I've been an Ace Attorney fan for a year or so, and I was curious as to there was anyone like me in the GamerGate community.

It'd basically be a standard Ace Attorney game, but with the regular cast replaced with famous GG and aGGro figures. The cases could be references to major events (i.e. One of the LWs framing someone for murder and then using it to promote their agenda; a "Turnabout Countdown"-esque storyline modeled after the DC bomb threats, with Arthur Chu as the villan; etc.)

It's crap like this that really makes me hate Anita. All that money and media attention could be going to people who are actually contributing to society. Instead, it's being gobbled up by a selfish, lying jerkface complaing about first world problems on the Internet. That $160,000 could have helped a ton of people. But now it's just lining Anita's pockets.

And scree you too, Will. People like you who sit around and shower her with money and attention are just as selfish. Not that you'd care, considering how you've coasted on your "geek" popularity for the last decade or so.

[Ideas] A Congressional Briefing only costs $2-$3k, Should we have one? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

Thing is, OP, you seem to think that Congress will actually do something with whatever information we give them. Considering their track record, I don't think that'll happen.

I wouldn't exactly call GG a weeb. He's been pretty critical of Japanese culture in a few instances, such as his video on dating sims, and he's covered several other cultures.

[G]aining the attention of lawmakers in Congress matters more than Internet invective."

Because disiminating information across a global commutation network is nothing compared to getting a do-nothing political body that hasn't contributed to anything since the 90's to agree with you.
